Johnson Controls On 9/22 we paid Johnson Controls $500 to install a new security system

On 9/22 we paid Johnson Controls $500 to install a new security system. We sent them lots of emails but they never replied. So, on December 17, we decided to cancel the contract by email. But guess what? They're still charging us for the contract we cancelled because they never talked to us. And now they're even charging us every month for nothing. We just want our $500 back. They don't even have a phone number, only emails that they don't bother to answer.

Johnson Controls Johnson Controls monitored my alarm system for 2, 12-unit apartment buildings

Johnson Controls monitored my alarm system for 2, 12-unit apartment buildings. For more than 2 months, they called me every day with a communication error, meaning their equipment didn't work. We switched alarm companies a month ago to get one that actually worked. However, they still call the police department every day with an alarm, even though they haven't monitored or had their equipment in the building for over 30 days. The city of Aurora charges $300.00 a day for these calls, and Johnson Controls refuses to stop calling them.

Johnson Controls In 2019, we let Johnson Controls know about our plans to move and requested to only pay for half a year of service for 2021 at our old address

In 2019, we let Johnson Controls know about our plans to move and requested to only pay for half a year of service for 2021 at our old address. We made the payment for half of the year, but that's where the problems started. They keep bothering us, despite us calling and providing written proof that our old account manager agreed to end our service. We have a new provider at our new location, so we never set anything up with Johnson Controls. They keep calling us incessantly, charging us every month for our old location, and they can't seem to get things sorted out. Every time I call, they tell me to ignore the charges and promise to fix the issue, but then I receive another bill.

Johnson Controls We used to use Johnson Controls to service our fire extinguishers

We used to use Johnson Controls to service our fire extinguishers. Last year we switched to a new company that was much more reasonable and worked with us much better. Three months ago, Johnson Controls entered our building with our proper authority (they were let in by a lady working on the landscape who thought they were with the fire department). They switched out all of the fire extinguisher tags to their tags (our new company said they would charge us $60 to switch back) and then billed us $224.53 for this service, which we did not request or have a contract for. We have tried calling, emailing, and even mailing them to dispute this charge, but we haven't received any response from them except for continued bills for this charge.

Johnson Controls This complaint is about an invoice that I haven't paid because I've been charged way too much

This complaint is about an invoice that I haven't paid because I've been charged way too much. It's for my alarm system at ***. ***. I'm the ***. I called Johnson Controls (Tyco Integrated) for help because my alarm panel was acting up. The technician came to my place and stayed for 35 minutes. He fixed one side of the panel, but had to order a new part for the other side. After waiting for 2 weeks, he came back and installed the new circuit board in 25 minutes. I saw it all with my own eyes. When I got the ***, I called to dispute it and they gave me #***. Today, someone called and said they were sorry but they couldn't lower the *** amount. They haven't explained why the labor cost is so high. $714.00 for just 1 hour of work? Looking at my contract, it seems like these things should be covered under the *** Plan. Their billing address is PO box ***.

Johnson Controls The Johnson Controls salesperson came out and lied about their product

The Johnson Controls salesperson came out and lied about their product. They said they handle the direct connection between us and the fire/police department for our town. I gave them a $1,700 check to cover monitoring and radio upgrade for the year. But that's not what happened. On the day of installation, our service tech told us the truth after reconfiguring a radio that had been in the building for over 15 years. I explained the salesperson's lie and we immediately called someone while the tech was there. They said they were sorry and promised to refund my money. But then the problems started. The billing department and sales department don't talk to each other. Each department tells me to call someone else. This has been going on for a year. Three months ago, I got an email saying it was canceled, but the billing department keeps sending bills. It's been over a year and I still haven't received my money back.

Johnson Controls I used to be a customer of the Richmond Alarm Company, but now I found out that Johnson Controls has taken over their accounts

I used to be a customer of the Richmond Alarm Company, but now I found out that Johnson Controls has taken over their accounts. They didn't notify me about this transfer, I only received a bill asking for payment and stating that I owed them money. In June, a representative from Richmond Alarm called me and told me not to make any more payments because I was already paid up for six months. She said she would send me an invoice when I needed to start making payments again. I will include the last three payments that were deducted from my checking account for Richmond Alarm. The date range is from September 21, to September 21, 2023. The total amount is $100. I paid through my checking account. On June 1, 2022, I paid $25, and the payment was completed. The confirmation number is SS35N-93LN1. The payment was made from my checking account, and it falls under the category of "Uncategorized." On May 5, 2022, I paid through a partner check, but the details are not provided. It also falls under the category of "Uncategorized." On April 11, 2022, I paid $50, and the payment was completed. The confirmation number is SMGGH-6R70Y. It was paid through a senior partner check and falls under the category of "Uncategorized." I have changed banks, so I may not have access to payments made before that time. If my last payment was made in June, how can I owe the amount they are requesting? Their customer service is terrible. I couldn't understand most of what they were saying, even though I called twice. The person I spoke to didn't have a good command of English as their primary language. That's why I'm reaching out to you. Can you help me find a satisfactory resolution to this issue? My account number is ***.

Johnson Controls Johnson Controls Security Solutions acquired *** that I had been with for over 30 years

Johnson Controls Security Solutions acquired *** that I had been with for over 30 years. June 8th in the middle of the night my alarm starting beeping really fast. The next morning June 9th I called and spoke with 4 different individuals at Johnson Controls none could tell me what the issue was. Then after being transferred to the 5 person I was told they had not been monitoring my home since *** of this year. I paid them for *** and had already paid them for *** They sent someone out to my home for a cost of $125 to tell me I needed to upgrade my system from 3G to 5G. I have learned in the security world 5G does not exist it is 4G. No one ever contacted me to say my system needed to be upgraded or they were not receiving a signal from my alarm system. I was work with *** to get scheduled for an upgrade and each time I reached out in June, July and August I was told he was trying to get me on the schedule, all the while I was not being monitored. When I received the bill for July I refused to pay and *** did waive this fee. Then I called them on August 14th to cancel their services and they said I didn't give them a *** since *** and I was not going to pay them because I have done everything to try and get them to fix these issue. They have refused to waive the fee saying staff shortage and the required upgrade was out of their control and I would be required to pay them for a service I have not been receiving. I have learned after interviewing other alarm companies they have not charged their clients for the upgrade where Johnson Controls wanted to charge $980, and the other companies had what is needed to upgrade their clients at the time 3G went away. This company is a joke and I will not pay them another dime for a service I have not been receiving for 3 months.

Johnson Controls I had two accounts with Johnson Controls

I had two accounts with Johnson Controls. My account number *** was at ***, and it ended on 3/1/22 when the contract finished. On 2/28/22, I started using a new company for fire monitoring service. I let Johnson Controls know about my decision through email well before the contract ended. I had been a customer for 9 years, and I had issues with contacting them during that time. Finally, on 3/4, a customer service agent acknowledged my request through email. However, I kept receiving letters saying I owed $337 for fire monitoring in March. I tried calling, emailing, and sending letters countless times. I explained the situation to many agents. I spent 9 years with this company, paying more than 5 times what I pay now, which is over $35,000. Yet, Johnson Controls is threatening to report me to a collection agency for $337, claiming that I didn't inform them within 30 days of not renewing my contract. I don't understand the logic behind this.

My second account, located at ***, is now at risk of termination and being sent to a collection agency because I haven't paid a bill for a maintenance call. We called to have one of our smoke detectors replaced because it was faulty. This has happened multiple times in the 6 years we've had this account. We pay for their maintenance plan, and this falls under the coverage. However, the technician missed the appointment and came during our business hours. He asked for "authorization" from one of our cooks (who doesn't have the authority) and then proceeded to replace the faulty detector. He was in the building for less than 30 minutes. After that, I started receiving a bill for over $900, with $591 of that being for labor. Again, I spoke to, emailed, and wrote a letter to Johnson Controls, explaining that we had the maintenance plan. Multiple agents acknowledged this. I started asking for records of the service call, including justification for the $600 labor charge.

Johnson Controls My business had to get a fire alarm system, and Johnson Controls ended up buying the company that installed and serviced my system

My business had to get a fire alarm system, and Johnson Controls ended up buying the company that installed and serviced my system. The customer service is terrible. I spent too many hours on the phone trying to fix monthly price increases over the years. It was always a system error. Long story short, after being in business for over 20 years, we decided to close, sell the property, and retire out of state. They initially said we had more time on our contract and that the penalty would be thousands of dollars. After showing proof that there was only a month left, multiple emails and phone calls, they finally agreed to cancel my service and close the account. My account was on autopay, so I assumed the final payments would be made. But as soon as they canceled my service, they couldn't charge my credit card for the invoices that hadn't been processed, even though the emails they sent still said "Thank you for using auto-pay" with no explanation. I called them to figure out what was happening. They gave me an amount due, and I sent a check in the mail. The check was cashed, and then I started getting collection emails. I replied to the collections department explaining the situation, but never got a response. Instead, I would get another collection email from the same person. Finally, I thought everything was sorted out, and they told me I was due a $61.03 refund. They told me to call customer service to ask for the refund and give my new mailing address, which I did on July 25, 2022. I spoke with *** who confirmed the amount I was owed. He took my new mailing address and assured me that I would receive a check in the mail in 2-3 weeks. I never got it. On December 1, 2022, I called customer service, and they couldn't find any record of a check being sent out to me or any credit/refund that was due back to me.
