Consumer's Original Complaint :

I purchased an automobile on September 2, 2006 that was not on site at the time. I wanted a new 2007
Mercury Milan with all the options, but found out the interest rate I wanted was not available. I was told
that one of the dealers was driving a 2006 Mercury Milan that had every available option for that model.
I thought this was a good option to the 2007. When I picked up the car on Monday (September 4, 2006) , I found the sticker and noticed that there were two options not on the sticker (Audiophile Radio was my main concern) I was told that the car did have this option and he would get back to me and prove it. After a day of hearing nothing, I called and was told that the car did not have this option as they thought. I was told that they would look into installing the correct radio, and then was told it was too expensive for them to install (Over $1,100). I told the dealer that if the option was indeed that expensive, they could refund me the difference in the factory option- $420. The payoff on my existing car ended up being $96.74 more than they thought, so I told them to deduct this from the $420 and we would call it even. They agreed to waiving the $96.74, but not to refunding me the difference. I feel they still owe me $323.26, or the Audiophile Radio I was told was in the car.

Consumer's Desired Resolution:

I want to be refunded $323.26, or have the Audiophile Radio installed and I will pay the $96.74 difference in the payoff amount.
