Jaroslav ''Jaro'' Kresanic is a thief, pathological liar, has serious alcohol problem that makes him completely unreliable!
08-22-2012 We paid $1000 cash down-payment to this Slovac contractor Jaroslav ''Jaro'' Kresanic and the rest was going to pay after the job. Windows installation was scheduled to be done one week after that date but there was always something. Just some examples:
* He said he can't come because he is very sick and needs to stay home. From his Facebook we knew he had home party. We lost day when we could plan anything to do instead waiting for him.
* Broken car: he called 5 min before we had another schedule that he won't be able to show up cause his van has just broken down and needs to be towed. I went where he said this happened to help but there was no any van. I thought this is very weird so I called Remodelers Supply Center from Schaumburg where he ordered windows for us and they said he didn't pick them up because he didn't paid them full yet. So how could he do our windows with no windows? Price for the windows was $930 so where was the money we gave him?!
*Another time he said he had an accident - flood at the other job so he is not able to pay/pick up the windows again and come because he needs to stay there till 10pm to take care of it. 5 minutes (!) after we talked, he replied on my Craigslist post cause we already started to look for someone else (ops!). He was soo busy but had time to check internet adds from his computer? Also had time to write (stupid) post on his Facebook?!
I call him almost everyday and he doesn't pick up the phone or accidentally pick it up totally drunk. At 2pm, 12pm?! He is babysitting little boy when his concubine is at work. We heard his voice many times in phone when he was absolutely drunk!
We really wanted to have this finally done so my girlfriend had to take day off because he said he will be able to do this for sure on Thursday... he didn't show up as usual. She called him and when he realized who is calling, he just turned on the TV loud to his cellphone or probably was so drunk he couldn't hang it off properly. We don't understand why someone with no job and no money doesn't want to work when he has the opportunity, lies and prefer to steal instead!
We decided to pay window company and individually get our money back somehow from this person but they said they can't do that without his permission because he made the order so he is the only person who can pick it up. I asked him to call them and give us approve and he said he is not going to do that! We had unbelievable hard time to get our windows. Remodelers Supply Center has a lot of trouble with this person too. He didn't pick up their phones and lied he will pay. Frustrated and very angry, we came to his place and made a scene so he gave as written permission and check... that bounced!
Finally, he paid for the windows but he still owes us $70 and he said he is not going to give it back because he deserves it for giving us good deal for the windows!
We had to pay extra to another contractor to pick up our windows and what we then realized, he ordered wrong type of windows! Horror!
At the end, he called drunk with his buddy, threatened us and said we should pay him $470 for breaking the contract! What?!
