Layoffs
Ikasystems started people layoffs today, it was very bad news and company layoff more than 40 people out of 300 employee that means, it is very serious ...they history track
Few key points.. Ikasystems management should realize before take this discussion, they can reduce company cost ?
why they need three buildings it is full enough hey stand on 132 and 134 building
They don't need 118 building and spend more money, ,
why they need another building spending all money on the chairs and, new desktops
and etc,
Even why they need to provide Friday lunch...? No one ask will if they are not n profit
Still need to reduce the cost, for management side not the operational side..
I mean they reduce manager's like VP, senior VP, Director, sales team.. Doing this practice they are good to go...

If you really doing layoff Please start from sr. managers and Director like Chinmay Nanavati? why this guy for company? wht did so far? wht is the impact if you layoff this guys ?.
Please start from him, now he started offshore and outsourcing game plan..and doing time-pass. He doesn't know anything about clients, healthcare domain and etc ?
so, start from him then every one agree layoff are going as per policy, But lot of people working from 5 years who were layoff, it is very bad. Wht did Chinmay Nanavati so far? Nothing he is wasting all of management time and diverting all managers time like the Policy, QA and release like these are time pass in the company for Chinmay Nanavati.
If you really want to work for ikasystems please get the clients and start the release process, without doing this and getting release process, that means your are
worsting the time for all management?
I know, i already out of job due to you? But still Chinmay Nanavati friends are in QA, wht they are doing nothing, still getting payslips.

Worst management
Ikasystems is one of the worst companies to work with, as mentioned by people already.. people who applaud for it or favour it are those who have been given unnecessary upper hand.. that stupid is one a****** who has no managerial sense/ capabilties, has no idea about how a company is run.. working 24*7 does not mean that the person is capable of managing other people.. in fact there are people with better technical and managerial qualities.. there is no process in the company followed (process exists but its not followed ) ... its like giving a donkey a position of lion, donkey is only capable of carrying tons of load, he cannot rule the jungle ... favourism is at its top, with exploitation of capable people... there is no escalation process in the company which makes it difficult for people to sustain If this continues, the attrition rate of the company will keep on increasing. Mr Ravi Ika is definitely most intelligent and capable person but it high time he needs to deal this issue very seriously ...And finally suggestion for new employees - do not join this company and please don think that if u have set an expectation initially (either with HR or new manager) while joining the company, tak note that u will be demoted from what u have done in your previous company.

upper management and H1B visas
there is so much nepotism here that many good people leave because they offend someones wife or sister or whatever. people put in charge not because they know but because who they are and can never be fired or demoted for wrong things. my boss is the worse I agree.

Do you have any ideas on how many extracts and Clients his wife and sister worked on? and if you have a problem, his doors are still open buddy. Go talk to him once. I bet it will make a difference.
He handles too many things and at times its bound that he would miss things. Go talk to him. It will surely be considered. By the ways his sister and wife dont work for him anymore.
Stupid management
Worse management ever, I do not blame the company, but the managers in the company are horrible. That stupid ### /name removed/ must be fired, for the company to be better. People are wondering why that /name removed/ is made the head of everything, while he is a headless man. His wife is a dumbo and he has her working in her team. he is trying to take control of everything and have command over everyone in ika. There are many people in ika who can be really good managers and directors. Worst company to work for. No annual reviews. forget about a pay raise.
Being jobless is better than taking torture from this company. All the bosses in this company should go through a training program where they teach how a manager/boss should be.
He doesnt have any certification to be what he is today. who made him a director of business analysis. He is one main reason why ikasystems is poor in client satisfaction. He needs to know how to deal with team members. “Kukkani simhasanam meeda koorchopettinattu ” there is a saying in india which means “making a dog sit in the royal chair of the king” .

they have an employee referral program, but when u refer someone, they say they cant hire them coz they are on H1 that employee referral program is a fake program and is not true. Don fall for it.

This company prepares you for the hiring process, then when you cannot understant the English of the hiring manager, your dead in the water without and explanation why. For me the IT guy who was the hiring manager knew less that I did so he got pissy and started drawing noneseance diagrams of ftp networks, which I know well. He said you cannot connet to a remote location with a domain name only a ip address.
This I know is not true. What a bunch of flakes.
The above statement is not correct. Management has changed and so are the Process. The place is good to work in now. I been working there since a year now and my Boss - Sasi and the entire team has been very helpful.
I got reviewed at the end of the Year and got a Systematic raise as well. Loved it.

Ikasystems is a chop shop and not a company. Employees should feel ashamed to work for such shady companies.
The firewall went down at work exposing clients PHI data nost sure what was leaked. Also missing computers and laptops with data on theme. Yes the encryption software they use is a joke and does not work about 80% of the time. How would I know that? Give me a laptop that has data encryption. After all they put an idiot in charge of it. The safest way to secure company data does not get stolen is to limit access to it give only view and read access. No copy and paste. They thought they would be smart to disable usb ports but many other websites you can transfer the files to other computers. Also they let you use your personal laptop for vpn cool. How secure is that? Also, continue to not supervisor the staff correctly in many departments. Also keep people who break software licenses issues. Snagit might want to fine the company in less software companies do not care to get paid for companies like IkaSystems using software and not paying for theme. IkaSystems is club and not a real company. The people good people but need good leadership that follow the rules if they want other clients to approach theme. Also if you were to bring a laptop from outside you can plug it in the network on detected and grab data. Also you can ping into your bring the network down.
This is funny, People work for this company since they were with this company at the start of the company, they are just sitting there and working for other companies, Consider the batch from west borough, they are the managers and they got everything, BMW and etc, their wifes get job and they work for other companies in the south, how funny is this. I hope with ravi gone, his commrades will also leave.
Catherine Keddy from HR department of IKA Systems scheduled me an interview few weeks back. My telephonic interview went pretty well. Immediately after the interview I tried to call Catherine to let her know that my interview was done and wanted to request her any updates or feedback. She never took my call and never replied my mails. After few days, I received a mail from Catherine that I was asked to come for face to face interview. As I couldn't locate the job description and other details (salary, if company will assist me in relocation, assistance in my work status and Green Card etc), I mailed back Catherine requesting for these details. She just replied me the job description and nothing else. I then sent few mails requesting for updates on the face to face interview and the queries I posted in my previous mails. I have also tried to call her desk number and also requested Catherine to call me when free if she was busy. I never received a phone call from her since my telephonic interview or any mails even after sending her 3-4 mails requesting for any updates on the face to face interview.
After reading all the articles on this company, I was not surprised by the way Catherine Keddy was working. I felt she was very unprofessional and not the right choice for her position. After reading all the reviews, I'm skeptical about the work environment in Ikasystems.
This company can still be saved if they fire or demote afe Indiand who were made VP and SVP in error. These smelly idiots can only be good at programming so the best position suitable for them is lead programmer but not SVP.
the problem with this company is it is broken. Ravi have a good idea for start up and did OK when he could just tell everyone what to do and say. He could lie to customers and prospects and get away with it because everyone kiss his butt and would back him up. WHen that happen for a long time, it becomes the culture for company. Don't think that can be fixed . They try to kick Ravi out and make him board to bring in Joe. Joe seemsto try, but nothing he can do. Company stiill stinks like Ravi with cronies and yes-men. Too broken to fix. They get rid of people in November, but wrong people. Need for replace bad managers at the top who allow it go get this way. Too much lies to customers and prospects - can't grow that way. They say we sell to big health plans, but what big health plan buys from company with lies and bad reputation like ika? I think in 6 month to 1 year max, ikaSystems will be like a unicorn or dinosaur - extinct! Good idea for company good timing OK technology wrong people. Also Joe must grow some balls, make decisions and stop the asking so much questions. Too much lies for inside the company and to clients to stay in busness.
I agree. The whole company is "run" by a bunch of Indian clowns. They will never ever get more clients. They are fools to the end. My advise to all you idiots at the top. Sell that sinking ship. Hahahaha! But who will buy it?
This company is the worst out there! in 17 years working with the major players in the game. I had never seen something so disorganized in my life. I was told during my nightmare week long-on site by a employee "Don't order or even bring meat into the office during my first day" I asked "why" and I knew I already made a mistake because the lunch order was already place early in the day...I ordered a sub sandwich with meat on it. During lunch I was told "your sandwich stinks" and I did notice that everyone was vegan. Is that problem? NO but a Turkey sub with little condiments but mustard was offensive to well over 15 people! If you are not of a certain culture you will understand quickly. My team was quick to notice the nepotism in this company and the lack of general respect and the failure to repay our company AFTER they had paid for us to fly out was amazing. The women on our team were refused handshakes...I THINK you know what we are saying...the Junior members of our team who were men were looked to for answers when some of the senior members are female and could realistically answer the questions. I'm a male and I was blown away by the general disrespect shown by senior mgmt of IKAsystems. We ended spending money with a more expensive company because we are all different people and some companies understand this and some do not. I would NEVER recommend IKA to anyone ever.
When an employee leaves either he/ she got fired or walked out
Ika pays them to shut up and not sue. Ika bribes the soon ex employee to
Not reveal the things that Ika asks them to do wrongfully. Employees are bullied and harassed by one female director HJ. People leave because they cannot take her yelling and demeaning attitude. Instead of correcting the problem, ika pays these employees not to sue for harrassment and they keep HJ in payroll. HJ manipulates people and she thinks she is invincible. We can"t blame her, ika tolerates her attitude and actions.
One more thing, Every time an employee leaves, someone gets promoted. For keeping their mouth shut!
Don't say serving biryani on fridays is the best idea you guys can come up with for motivation employees. You can do better than that.
I am one of the "infrastructure" (database and system managers) laid off previously, in May 2014. We typically worked 60-70 hours weekly to support production. We had no backups. We had 2 weeks' notice of the layoffs; I had 2 weeks' severance pay - and our jobs were sent offshore to India and Mexico...The developers and system admins with whom I worked were outstanding, even at 3 a.m. when we fixing issues. Unfortunately, the management in place in 2014 did not think that we added value. Great software. No respect for employees. Not exactly truthful about ability to recover applications.
Do not be wooed by these charlitans. Worst company in Mass hands down. No leadership, no direction, no processes, no respect. BCBS should drop these dopes.
Still 10 percent people in ika just collecting the paychecks without doing anything. These people are surviving just because of stupid managers. This would impact on working people. Upper management should keep an eye on them.
Message to all managers: please understand that, IKA is not charity. It is a group of working people. Please consider people who are working and giving value the company.
Moreover noone was informed about how the candidates for lay off were chosen. There were good candidates who used to work hard and were laid off .. Mainly communism played a big part in layoff .. The company is unprofessional enough to layoff people without giving even 2 weeks notice period.. It sucks .. and its been anticipated that the lay off process has just started, people can be thrown anytime .. Those already working will have to work under high pressure with loads of work .. And those rated at lowest will be thrown again..
