Hotel Don Miguel Ronda Spain review: Hotels excessive charges. And lack of respect for its clients

We rented a superior room in the hotel for 2 nights. may 1st and 2nd 2024.

we were given a room in a different building away from the hotel.we were also told that the car park was full. we parked the car in a public car park near by.

we went to the room and it was not what we had paid for, so we went back to reception to complain. whilst waiting to be served we heard the receptionist offer the couple in front of us parking in the hotel car park. They told us that if we wanted a room in the hotel it will cost 40.00 euros upgrade, i paid them 40.00 euros and they gave me a key to a room in the hotel, when we opened the door we found the room was occupied.

We went back to the reception to explain the situation and were taken to a third room which was also occupied. on complaining i told the reception that i would retire to the bar whilst they sorted out the problem, about half an hour later they returned and offered us another room.

we went to the room and yes it had great views,but it was a small family room not the superior room that we had paid for at the time of booking.

After a 5 hour drive this is not how i expect to be treated.

it was booked for a special occasion and the hotel was a big disappointment.
