Lynda Lake is a horse trader out of Stockton, Ca. She also boards, trains and consigns horses. Represents herself has an equine professional and expert at "Matching Horses & Humans". She grossly misrepresented Duke, a quarter horse gelding as 13 years old and stated you can "Do it all on him". Soon after the purchase I noticed something wrong with him. Had 2 vets look at him and finally took him to UC Davis for evaluation. All agreed that Duke is closer to 20 years old, blind in one eye and has navicular in his pasterns. Aside from the obvious non-disclosure of health issues, there is a HUGE difference in value between a 13 year old and a 20 year old horse. After the purchase, Lake would not return emails or phone calls for months, which prompted me to warn other potential consumers about this dishonest horse trader. Yes, horse traders have a bad name for a reason, but this one is exceptionally bad. She advertises on her website - goodtobehorsey.com, also on Craigslist, YouTube (under name luvinourhorses), EquineNow and HorseClicks.

Meme1020 Don't you think the list of complaints speaks for itself? I checked teeth for age. Sounds like a friend of Lake with such harsh words for victim's. I am thankful to hear of complaints. One or two will happen but she is all talk and no action. So maybe you should "get a brain" and see the pattern of complaints. Not every one of the people could possibly be novices. It's gone on for too long if you read the dates.

Any horse person with half a brain would have a VET CHECK done before purchasing a horse. Far as I am concerned you walked right into this. Don't you think to check the TEETH for age? Or bring somebody more experienced if you are such a novice? Use your brain. This is 2013 and people ANY PEOPLE should not be trusted. What a joke. Next time get a vet check done, it is the smart thing to do.

I totally agree! This woman is as dishonest as they come! Nothing about her is trustworthy! Do not be fooled by her "sweetness". It is very short lived. She will lie to your face and go on with her business. BEWARE!
