Horizon Improvements review: Florida sunroom

I do not recommend horizon improvements on 9 mile. We signed a contract november 2021 for a hurricane proof windows sunroom with half brick knee wall and it’s still not completed. It has failed all city of pensacola inspections in may 2023 for not being secured to the foundation correctly and leaking inside from all sides of the room. David touchstone and david rademacher have submitted new plans to the city to fix the room two times in the past 6 months, only to be denied by the city for still not meeting codes. Based upon our experience with horizon improvements, we find them to be unethical, unexperienced, unresponsive, and deceptive. Considering that horizons told us that it had 40 years of experience in construction, we expected our $50,000 sunroom to be safe, sturdy, engineered correctly, and not to leak practically every time it rains. However, our sunroom is none of these things. Horizon totally failed our expectations, failed to pass inspections by the city, failed to refund our money, failed to build a working sunroom, failed to communicate effectively, failed to fix the defects identified by the city, and failed to honor the contract we signed almost 3 years ago. Touchstone is refusing to refund us, refuse to reply back to us and refuses to fix our sunroom. We are currently in the process of working with the escambia county competency board to have their license suspended and filed a complaint and it’s the bbb. As of today, october 23,2023 they have abandoned the project.
