Hinge Health is so misleading with their ads and services. I got a *** their app for fixing my joint and muscle pain. The mailer said my company already paid for it, so I thought it was free. I tried it out, downloaded the app, and got the kit (some stretchy bands and a yoga mat). But when it arrived, I was away on vacation for 6 weeks. Then, surprise surprise, my insurance got a bill for $655. Luckily, insurance covered it, but still. That's not the same as my company paying for it. If I knew it wasn't paid for, I might not have signed up since my problems are small. If I knew it cost $600+, I would've never signed up. Then, I kept getting texts from one of their people asking why I hadn't started the program. I told them I was on a road trip for 6 weeks and couldn't use the stuff they sent. I said I'd try it when I got back. They said they'd get in touch then. But when I got back, I saw two more bills for $140 each. They kept charging me monthly even though they knew I was away. Plus, they never said anything about a monthly fee. Insurance covered those too, but now I'm out $1,000 for an app/yoga mat/stretchy bands that I haven't even used. It's all because of their sneaky marketing. I complained to my insurance so they can check out this provider, and I won't do business with them again.

I got this mail offerin' free physical therapy and a health coach at home, all for no charge. It's basically just an app for stretchin', no fancy diagnosis or much interaction with a real person. They didn't charge me, but they billed *** Blue Shield a crazy amount, $1,800! They claimed it was for some fancy online healthcare professional stuff, but they never even did a digital evaluation. They treated me for sciatic pain when I actually had an IT band injury. This app is just basic stretchin', nothin' worth more than a hundred bucks for a whole year. This company should be on TV exposin' their scam on shows like 60 minutes or 20/20.

I got a letter from Hinge Health (with my employer) on September 14, 2022. The letter said if you join now, you get a free yoga mat. I used the QR code and followed the steps, but I never got asked about the yoga mat. I saw that Hinge had an email customer care, so I sent them an email that night, on 9/14/22. The response I got back is as follows: "Hi, Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize for any confusion caused by incorrect info sent to our members. You may have received marketing material that didn't say you only get equipment if you join the specific program, Hinge Health's chronic program, for long term care. You're currently in our acute program, for short term care, and don't get any extra equipment. The benefit of the acute program is that you have direct access to a Doctor of Physical Therapy who will work with you to create your Care Plan and who you can reach out to whenever you need. At Hinge Health, we value our Doctors of Physical Therapy and believe the patient/provider relationship is the most important part of our program. We apologize again for the miscommunication and are working hard to make clearer marketing materials that show who gets a yoga mat. Let us know if you have any other questions. Best, Hinge Health Support." After that email, I asked them to please make it right and send me a yoga mat, since they made an obvious mistake. In my messages, I made it very clear that I wouldn't have joined if they didn't have the promotion. They emailed back and said no. They are false advertising and getting people to sign up for their program without keeping their promises.
