Headway review: Another money grabber

This app promises to summarize books so you can get the substance of them without reading the entire book. I tried it and was unimpressed. I thought I cancelled but the charge appeared on my card again with auto-renew, so I sent an email within the week, cancelling and asking politely for a refund of the new charge. Nope. They won't do it. Like so many of these apps, it's clearly an important part of their business plan to collect subscription money from customers who are not using their app and have no intention of using their app simply because they can. It's pathetic that taking money from people to whom you are providing zero services is now considered a fundamental part of any business plan.
