I was served today with paperwork for a debt. This law firm did not put all their info on the front page and I had to search for attorneys name. They also did not include email address. Also the Plaintiffs address and other info was not included. Consequently I am not able to properly file a response because of all the missing info. Another thing. This account was "charged off" some years ago. Why are they pursuing me. Since 2018 I have had many relatives die and had to take care of many financial things. Up to that time I never missed a payment on any of my accounts. When all these relatives started dying off I couldnt spread my limited funds wide enough. Had to quit paying credit cards. I made arrangements on most accounts including this one, but still could not come up with the money to pay. In 2019 I became ill for some time then spent most of 2020 in the hospital having several surgeries and spending time in rehab. Currently I am bedridden, and due to have several more surgeries and have end stage renal failure. Now I get these papers with this company trying to collect money I dont have. I tried to contact them online and that didnt work. I cant file a response since I dont have all their info. I don't make phone calls as I am just not healthy enough to deal with this. They need to file better paperwork. Or go after people that can pay and quit chasing charge offs.

We made a payment recently (May ) and for some reason got reversed. We have tried to call about the payment and an update to our debt that we owed and have been unsuccessful as it seem no one works there because no one picks up the calls. We were able to leave a message once but did not get a call back. The next times we called there were no voicemail option and just kept us on hold. We have sent an email requesting for a call back as well. We'll see if anyone will. At this point, we have decided that we're not going to be making anymore payments until someone contacts us personally. This is RIDICULOUS! Website sucks as well. Doesn't help us understand what's going on. We are frustrated with this whole process. So unprofessional!

These people are liars, sneaks & cannot be trusted. 1) They did not give ALL the evidence of the case. 2) They would send motions, change motions, send tons of unnecessary paperwork in order to overwhelm you. Many times duplicates & triplicates. 3) Wait a day or 2 to send motion to vacate a judgment I would have won hands down, adding to dismiss with out prejudice; stating WE had come to an agreement. LIE! I NEVER spoke to them, corresponded with them, EXCEPT answering motions or initiating motions.

They collect debts for their clients very well, but they show no interest in following up on settlement requests from the people who they collect from. Just terrible customer service, as if I am an only an account and not a human being. Terrible especially during a pandemic, just terrible.

This is such an unprofessional and/or inept law firm. This firm received two overpayments once my debt had been paid and, despite no less than eight phone calls and six emails, I cannot speak to someone who can help me. This firm owes me nearly $740. The fact that they are working with people who are likely struggling to make ends meet makes this even more disgusting. I have been hung up on when "being transferred to an attorney who can help me" on three occasions. I have left voice messages that weren't responded to. I don't know if the attorneys are never around or what the situation may be. One receptionist said to submit all appropriate documentation to prove that there was an overpayment. This was done over two weeks ago and no response despite follow up messages and calls. I am a human being working three jobs trying to weather a pandemic. An unwillingness to give back what isn't theirs is criminal.

i spoke to Chris M I would like to extend a special thanks to hem he has truly went above and beyond to help me settle my debt I was so nervous and he made me feel comfortable and help me through the whole process I now feel much more comfortable talking to debt collectors especially from this company also would like to thank the attorney who was expedient and the staff that I've spoken to was also just as delightful

These are untrustworthy and incompetent group. It's going on month 3 were not a single person can tell me why THEY messed up my account. I, like many others, understand that autopay means that the account will be paid automatically. Well not for the scammers at Gurstel Law Firm. Autopay means that we will auto draft for 6 years until we feel like stopping the payments so that we can place a lien on your property. Autopay also means that they will not contact the payer and let them know any of this happened by will do so quietly as they are hoping to collect when you unknowingly try and sell your house. Had an attorney even ask me "How did you know that there's a lien?" Clearly these actions were done secretly. They're kidding themselves if they think I'm going to let this going without them fixing their mistakes. Tell me that there shouldn't be a lien but will ask that I pay to remove it. This company is fraudulent and action needs to be taken to hold them accountable. Scandalous! Don't bother leaving that generic message about making contact. There isn't a single person in your law firm that I have spoken with that is capable of taking responsibility for how you all have wronged me.

I have made numerous requests via, email, phone calls, and USPS including certified mail over the past year for someone at Gurstel to get in touch with me and I have not received any response. Gurstel has was pursing obtained a judgment against me. I tired to reach out to them for a settlement or payment arrangements, but they would never get back to me. Gurstel recently obtained a wage garnishment. I have reached out several times since asking for a pay off amount and again, I still cant reach anyone and have not heard back from anyone.

I have made several attempts to reach out to Gurstel Law Firm regarding settling a credit card debt. They have failed to return all phone calls made in the past few months. When I had spoken with them previously, I made several offers to settle this debt and/or make a reasonable payment arrangement. I am currently 64, disabled and unemployed and have explained this to them when making my offers. They have refused all requests made, declined to make any reasonable arrangements and have threatened me with legal action. Since they have not returned my calls in so long, I am in fear of them taking any means of supporting myself that I have. As it is, I have been depending on the support of friends and family to get through this difficult time and find the manner that I have been treated in to be devastating. I appreciate your time and consideration of this matter.

On April 10 I receieved a letter from Gurstel Law Firm that they were repersenting Prestige Financial services in regards to collecting a judgment against me. This judgment had already been enforced via a paycheck garnishment. In December my employer was notified that the garnishment had been fulfilled, but that was after multiple additional payments had been made to the account. I contacted Prestige Financial who confirmed that there was an overpayment on the account of more than $2,000 and that Gurstel Law Firm would be responsible for returning those funds to me. I have left multiple messages for Prestige and got a return phone call referring me to Gurstel Law Firm (as an affiliate of Harvest Strategy Group) to further follow-up on my funds. Today I called Guestel and was informed that I needed to speak to Prestige. They have me in a never ending loop of referring me to each other to reclaim my funds. I would like a refund of the total overpayment I am owed immediately.

Spoke with Gregg N from Gurstel Law Firm sometime in December and arranged for him to mail me document proof of debt, never received. Called back sometime in January to follow up, left voicemail, no return call. Called back 3/5, left another VM, not return call. Called 3/8 spoke with Matt Davis and once he pulled up my information, he acted as though he couldn't hear me and bad connection. I know there was no bad connection, was calling from work and never had any bad connection in all years employed there. Scam to try and sue you in court. Need help please. Business did commit to providing documentation back December by Gregg N for Debt Collection - Business never tried to resolve.

Gurstel law firm was a collection attorney that was handling my garnishment from national credit adjusters. The court ordered amount was paid in full through paycheck garnishments additional fees were added to my transunion credit report. I called them and spoke with David. He confirmed the court ordered judgment was paid in full but requested an additional fee of $239.28 be paid by debit over the phone in order to clear up the collection balance reported fraudulently to transunion and report to Juneau county court the judgement was satisfied. This is extortion. I have not entered into any service agreement with Gurstel law and provided no prior knowledge by the court of any additional fees being added to the court judgement.

Have tried to contact Guerstel for several days. Have garnished my wages without my knowledge or any proof that the debt is mine. Have offered a couple of amounts to settle debt but to no avail. Because of the wage garnishment, may lose my home due to lack of funds.

I received a statement in my paystub for a wage garnishment from Gurstel Law Firm located in Scottsdale. The debt Plaintiff is listed as Capital One. I have two credit cards which are both in good standing and have never paid late. There is a civil case court number which is listed with the Encanto Justice Court in Phoenix, Arizona. Case CC2007256802. I was never served by the company or anyone else. I had no knowledge of any debt which is past due. The case number listed is not even valid.if this is a real case number it would be from 2007 which is over 13 years ago. I've never received any mail from Capital One or the Gurstel firm regarding the alleged debt. I feel they are overstepping their boundaries and violating the FCRA. They have also garnished money from a paycheck of mine for $174.67 I feel like they have made an I'll attempt to scare me into paying a debt I do not owe. No where in the judgement is there an amount listed which is owed or an account number from the original creditor (Capital One)

I had a settlement account through Gurstel Law Firm on behalf of Discover, of which was litigated in court and then renegotiated in 2018. I have been making payments since the beginning of 2018 to Gurstel Law Firm against the agreed settlement anount. Recently without indicating that they would no longer be accepting payments, did not cash the checks sent to their offices to pay my debt. This occurred for several months with no correspondence or attempt to reach me regarding the change to the agreed plan. I'm now faced with a company who made a legally binding agreement to alter their responsibility in the matter, and allow me to become default while I have made consistent payments in good faith to complete my debt obligation. This now has escalated to a point of frustration, and Gurstel has not accepted any responsibility for their direct part of this situation. Gurstel is completely to blame for both cashing a payment in February that was designated for Discover while conceding they no longer have oversight of the account, and refusing to remedy the situation. I am just attempting for this company to accept their portion as causing me to head to new negotiations and they defaulted on a settlement.
