Goyette plumbed 3 1/2 units for us. All Very Poorly!
Some of the HIGHLIGHTS:
Unit 1: They installed gas piping for a dryer in the laundry, a heater in living room & a stove in kitchen and H&C Water for the laundry, bath & kitchen. They installed the water for the laundry machines on N. wall & the Gas line for the dryer across the room on the S. wall! We requested the Gas Company to turn on the gas, but they refused & locked out the meter because of Significant Gas Leaks! The gas was turned on for the kitchen stove After plumbers capped off & abandoned the gas pipes to the laundry & living room!
Unit 2: They installed shut-offs that you can hardly get to - after pulling-out an appliance and takng up the flooring!
Unit 3: They installed kitchen sink plumbing on the wall where the stove was supposed to go! Their job on the concrete work in their floor cuts is another story!
Unit 4: They submitted two bids: One to completely re-plumb the house w/bath & kitchen w/a gas stove - which they have not started.
Their 2nd bid was to completely Plumb the attached Laundry Room for 3 washers & Gas dryers & a Gas W/H. Back in May, their man installed only the H&C water, gas & drain piping on the machine wall and then left the job!
We finally contacted the Dist. Mgr. in Flint, MI re when they would be back to complete the laundry job. The Mgr. checked & stated that he had determined that installing a W/H was Not in either of their 2 bids! – But he & the local Mgr. would be out to look at the job in a couple of days & see what needed to be done! When pressed to explain why they wouldn’t have included a WH installation in Either bid and had ran NO Hot or Cold Water Pipes or Gas pipes to the W/H closet - the answer was they thought the W/H was electric – even though it was shown to be gas! (: (But, even that does Not explain their failure to run hot or cold water pipes to the WH closet!)
So now, 3 months after having been paid $4,350 (over 90% of the $ for their laundry bid) - & completing about 1/2 of the job, the Mgrs. have Not been out & Goyette has Never returned to hook up the Gas line to the dryers, the Cold water to the washers, nor the Drain line to the Sewer! AND, of course, there is NO LAUNDRY HOT WATER to hook up!
Claimed loss: $4,350 paid just for the uncompleted job, plus on-going losses!
Desired outcome: Immediately properly & fully complete plumbing the laundry or refund $4,350.
