Gods and Heroes review: hair salon 1

Brides beware! They will tell you one price and charge you another at the end of the day when you have no time to go elsewhere! I have never dealt with such an unprofessional, rude business owner like alec ever. I have proof of the mean-spirited, name-calling he used in a conversation with me on text. But it's first important to warn you that this salon uses the classic bait and switch tactic to get business and trap you a few days before your wedding into having no choice but to pay anything they want.

I called the salon and was told the trial price for bridal hair and makeup is $175, and that would also be the price for the bride on the day of. I had my bridesmaids book appointments with me right away. All I got was the names of the people doing my hair and makeup and I asked several times for their contact info to send them photos and they said they couldn't give it out (How does that make sense?). After calling several times, I finally got emails and sent caroline (Hair) and katie (Makeup) photos, to which I got no response until 4 days before my wedding. Caroline, the one doing my hair, said the price given was inaccurate-that for hair she charges $125 and makeup is $90, which equals $215 total. I sent her a photo of my hair and immediately she said she was referring me to terra to do the job, but she charges $150. Then katie calls me and says makeup is not $90 with her, it's $200, so that's $350 total. She says zeta wu is less at $150 and sends me to her. Zeta talks with me on the phone and I tell her I have two small scars on my arm that I just needed covered and she says that's totally fine, then e-mails me saying it would be $50 to cover them up! What cons! They know it's 4 days before your wedding and you have no choice!

Good thing I was so turned off I started looking elsewhere for alternatives! Michelle (Owner's wife) calls me to confirm, and I very nicely said that I needed to get back to her because my girls and I were trying to decide between two places. Alec calls me leaving a voicemail saying he's afraid i'm taking my business elsewhere. I text him asking a quick question regarding airbrush and he replies with a text saying he spoke with 5 of his stylists, one of which was his wife and he was not willing to "help" me and my bridal party on our wedding 2 days away and that he'd never seen anyone shop around for a stylist before. When did it become a crime to shop around?! Keep in mind I did not negotiate pricing when they told me $175, but when it kept becoming more and more outrageous to $350 total, only an idiot wouldn't try to negotiate that back down to what was promised.

Alec then proceeded to call me a psycho, saying over and over again he would not be working with us, when of course I had decided a long time ago they would not be getting my business. It's like a scenario where he wants to be the first one to do the dumping-immature and so unprofessional.
