Gerber Legendary Blades review: Warranty - 2 items. Same problem. Poor support. No contact continuity.

1st- I have been a loyal customer / collector of Gerber since the 70s. 2- A few years ago I purchased a 600 multitool Stainless and a Paraframe2 serrated. The multitool failed when the plastic lock clip broke. The Paraframe2 failed when the blade lock on the side broke. I rarely use them. They are mostly as collectors. My many attempts at submitting warranty has failed. The 'Submit Warranty ' site is about useless. It requests images yet only having a 5Mb file (total files) limit. I resized the original. The minimum is about 3Mb each. So much for multiple views as requested. Sometimes I get an automatic reply that I submitted. Once I received an email from Customer Service requesting images (that I already submitted). Again, a 5Mb limit. Since it only allot image files I cannot submit a compressed file. As yet I am disgusted with the process, lack of communication and results of the new Gerber. Before the 90s I could call. They assigned a case # and provided address if they wanted me to send in a unit. They inspected and I had another unit enroute on that call or within a week after they received the my failed unit.Truth told, back then, of all my items, I only sent in a couple of units.The quality was good and the support was as good. The whole process in less than a month. Note- I carry Paraframe and have a few of them stowed in various places such as jackets and luggage.I have had 2 warranty at the store level because of Getber's lack of support. Now, the quality appears as Chinese junk and good luck on a biologic reply or communication. If the quality and lack of customer service continues in this way I will seek another manufacturer 2 collect and use whilst I boycott Gerber. I boycott Benchmade the similar reason. I am still searching for another Bolt Action Exchange Blade that I had in the 80s.
