On 15 March 2022, my wife had a run in with our Tesla 3 and a curb doing damage mostly to the cars rocker panel. I called and set up an appointment with G&C Auto Body, 251 Bellevue Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA [protected] for 5 April 2022 at 10:30 A.M. This was AFTER I received an authorization number from State Farm to do so.
Upon our arrival, I met with Corey Wright who, at that time, was the General Manager. He informed me they did not have an appointment down for us but before giving us an estimate to repair the car, they would need authorization sent from State Farm to do so. My wife, Suzanne, informed him we had the authorization number, but he continued to state they needed the number sent from State Farm. This is without even going inside to check to see if they had it or not! I told him I would call State Farm and make sure they sent him the number.
In the meantime, we had electronic issues with the Tesla and had to have it towed to Vallejo, CA on 18 April 2022. We did not get the car back until September 2022. I went to G&C on 30 November, because I had to be in Santa Rosa for another appointment. I thought they might be able to look at the car but found out the previous authorization was no longer valid and would have to start the process all over. I called our State Farm agent in Ft. Bragg while there and spoke to the owner, Carol Milsap, in Ft. Bragg. She said she would call State Farm directly and take care of it that day. I rescheduled the appointment for 3 January 2023 at 9:30. Went home, called State Farm that afternoon and was informed State Farm sent it to G&C that afternoon, on 30 November.
Upon my arrival, again, to G&C on January 3rd, 2023, I was informed, “you do not have an appointment scheduled”. I told her that I made it on November 30 when last in. She asked if she made the appointment, and I said no (pointed to the woman sitting next to her) with her the last time I was here. They informed me I would have to reschedule it. I told them I live three hours away and this has not been an easy process. She said Sorry, there was nothing they could do.
I believe this is unheard of and would like to have this company investigated. NO customer should have to be put through this to get an estimate to have a car repaired, let alone have them repair it which I would never have them touch my car because it would be a year or two to get it back! As you can see, I have my own business and if I treated my customers the way they treated me, I would not have a company!
