Gateway Chevrolet Chicago, IL — No business doing business
Hello, what a big disappointment we had at GATEWAY CHEVROLET, On July 10Th 2006 we received a phone call from a woman named Emmy at GATEWAY and said she had GREAT NEWS for my husband John, so I called him at work so he could call her to find out what the good news was. She told him that he was approved for a loan for $25,000. He asked how did you get this information she told him a computer application, Well needless to say he was looking for a particular car a 5 speed Camero she told him they had 4 in stock the colors and all he was happy. So I drove to his work in Villa Park that is 2 hours away from our home to bring in his other car for a trade in. Then spent another 2 hours to drive to the dealership with our 2 young children. We get there and ask to speak with either Emmy or Clair they said they will be out in a bit they are on break, so the salesman Dan Dugan took care of us. My husband asked if he could see the Camero's and Dan looked at us like what are you talking about we have no Camaro's here. My husband told him to look in the inventory and he did there were no Camaro's there. Dan the salesman said they ( the girls Emmy and Clair will say anything to get you in the door). My husband and I looked at each other and could not believe what we just heard. A few minutes later the finance manager came out and asked what the problem was, we told him and he also said they never had any Camero's in there. So with that I said I wonder what a lawyer would say giving information under false pretense. Mike the finance manager said we have 40 lawyers and with that he said out business was done. I wanted my paperwork back that they copied personal information he declined to give it back but I took what I could grab. This dealership has no business doing business. Please help give out out message so this does not happen to other GOOD PEOPLE like my husband and myself.
