Gamivo Beware of Sneaky Charges: My Negative Experience with Gamivo.com

Hello everyone, I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with Gamivo.com. It's unfortunate that I have to report a negative experience but I hope that my review will help others avoid similar issues.

As many other customers have experienced, I was charged a "Smart Subscription fee" during a game purchase that I didn't notice until the following month when I was charged again. When I contacted customer service, they refused to refund me and instead instructed me to unsubscribe on my own through my account. I find this kind of behavior to be unethical and unacceptable.

In order to prevent being charged again, I strongly advise anyone making a purchase on Gamivo.com to be very careful with the small print in their footer on the pre-checkout page. They may try to sneak in additional charges and it's important to double-check and make sure you unselect any subscription fields on every checkout page.

Unfortunately, this kind of business practice has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be making any further purchases from Gamivo.com. I strongly urge others to consider this before making a purchase on their platform. Thank you for reading and I hope this helps.

Gamivo Gamivo Review: Terrible Experience with Key Purchase and Refund Policy Violations

Gamivo is an online retailer specializing in video game keys and other digital products. Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been quite disappointing.

I purchased a PlayStation Plus key for PS4, and the website clearly indicated that it could be activated in Ireland. However, when I received the key, it turned out to be for Kuwait. This was frustrating, as I had specifically selected the product based on the country of activation.

The real issue, however, arose when I attempted to get a refund. According to Gamivo's own refund policy (section 8.5.2), I was entitled to a refund. However, the company refused to issue a refund until someone else had purchased the key and confirmed that it was unused. Two months later, I am still waiting for my refund and have no indication of when I might receive it.

This is an absolutely terrible experience, and I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from Gamivo to look elsewhere. It is clear that the company is in violation of its own refund policy and EU consumer protection regulations. To make matters worse, I was also signed up for Gamivo Smart without my knowledge, and it was difficult to cancel the subscription as the company deliberately hides that information on their site.

Overall, my experience with Gamivo has been nothing short of appalling, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Gamivo Deceptive and Frustrating: My Experience with Gamivo's Disney Mega Pack Purchase

I recently decided to purchase the Disney mega pack key for my son through Gamivo's website. However, my experience with the company has been quite frustrating. Firstly, when I received the key, I realized that it had already been activated - and not by me. This left a bad taste in my mouth right off the bat.

To add insult to injury, Gamivo employs a rather deceptive "smart subscription" that is automatically checked during the purchase process. This subscription supposedly provides discounts for a $2.00 "service" fee, but it's absurd that they think consumers won't notice this trickery. Furthermore, the discounts didn't even work, rendering the fee absolutely useless.

When I tried to cancel the subscription, which I never wanted nor even knew I was signing up for, I found it nearly impossible to do. It took me an hour of searching their site to finally locate the account settings, and even then I had to go through a confirmation email process.

Needless to say, I was beyond frustrated with Gamivo's shady practices. I immediately requested a refund from both Gamivo and PayPal, but I am not optimistic that it will be an easy process. It's disappointing to see a company prioritize their profits over their customers, especially when they could have easily provided a more transparent and honest service.

Gamivo Unwanted Smart Subscription Charge from Gamivo and Poor Customer Service

I had recently bought a game from Gamivo's website (gamivo.com) and found myself prompted with the smart subscription at checkout. However, I decided not to sign up for it. Unfortunately, I checked my credit card statement and saw that I had been charged for the monthly smart subscription, which left me a bit frustrated. I immediately contacted their customer support in hopes of receiving some assistance regarding this matter.

I was disappointed to receive the same reply repeatedly that I had subscribed to the smart subscription. However, nowhere in my email confirmation did it mention that I subscribed to the smart subscription. I still reached out to support for help, but they refused to get a supervisor's assistance and kept blocking me. To top it off, a customer service representative ended the chat on me, which made me feel unvalued as a customer.

Thankfully, I was able to chat with another support team member who confirmed that I had indeed disabled the smart subscription before purchasing the game. Still, it did not get disabled when I purchased the game at a "special price," which felt like a scam. Unfortunately, they could not provide me with a refund because of their no refunds policy for the smart subscription. This experience left me disheartened, and I noticed a few other reviews mentioning similar experiences, which seems to be their modus operandi.

It is essential for companies like Gamivo to understand that customers' trust is crucial, and their communication needs to be transparent. This will make customers feel valued and provide them with an overall enjoyable experience.

Gamivo Deceptive Subscription Practices and Unfair Refund Policies: My Experience with Gamivo

I recently had an experience with Gamivo (gamivo.com) that I feel compelled to share with others. There were some issues that came up during my transaction that I want potential customers to be aware of. Firstly, it is important to be aware that they include a subscription to their service when you purchase a game through them. This is pre-ticked and it is up to the customer to notice this and un-tick the box if they do not want the subscription. I did not notice this at first and later realized I had been subscribed without my knowledge. This caused small, unrecognized payments to be taken out of my bank account that I only noticed upon checking my account statement. Needless to say, I was extremely frustrated by this. In my opinion, it is very deceptive to make it difficult for users to notice the subscription and thereby subscribe unwittingly.

I also had an issue with Gamivo during a purchase where I cancelled the transaction and was given credit instead of a refund back to my bank account. I was speaking with a chatbot at the time, and it was programmed to refuse me a refund for the subscription, stating that I should have been more careful when making the purchase. This felt like a very unfair situation to me, as I had not knowingly subscribed, and I felt that they were not being very transparent about their refund policies.

Ultimately, my experience with Gamivo left me feeling very unsatisfied with their service. I strongly believe that all consumers deserve transparency and honesty in their transactions, and it concerns me to see companies that choose to be deceptive in this way. I believe that it is important for customers to be aware of these issues and to be very careful when using Gamivo's services. Gamivo Gamivo.com Review: Poor Customer Service, Unfulfilled Orders, and Ignored Refund Requests

I recently had an unpleasant experience while shopping on Gamivo.com. Unfortunately, my purchase never arrived, and despite several attempts to contact their support team, I was offered a mere credit note as compensation. I took this up with the company, reminding them of their legal obligations, and was reassured that a full refund would be provided. However, it has now been a week, and the refund has yet to be issued.

I escalated the issue to PayPal and shared with them the correspondence I had with Gamivo, but it appears that the company has continued to ignore my requests for a refund. The most disheartening part is that they have even marked reviews claiming that the reviewer was contacted; however, despite many emails and messages to their support, I have received no response.

It is frustrating to see a company behave in this way, especially when it is their responsibility to fulfill orders and provide excellent customer service. I have a strong feeling that the refund will ultimately come through PayPal or Visa, whether Gamivo likes it or not, which makes me wonder why they choose to create such avoidable problems. Instead of wasting time and resources to stonewall customers, it would be much better for them to address the issues and offer solutions promptly.

I hope Gamivo will learn from this experience and improve their services. It is not worth sacrificing their reputation for a few coins in interest.

Gamivo Gamivo Review: Hidden Fees, Poor Customer Support, and Unacceptable Lack of Accountability

Gamivo (gamivo.com) has a reputation for showcasing the "cheapest" prices, and while this may be true, you may end up feeling otherwise during checkout. The site tends to tack on numerous fees and subscription items that you may not be interested in, or worse, not be able to disable. As a gamer based in the EU region, I received a bot gift that was, regrettably, region locked, and this resulted in me reaching out to Gamivo's customer support team for assistance. To their credit, they provided a prompt response within two hours, but informed me that a refund was my only option.

Despite providing them with a screenshot of the refund message, along with evidence of the failed bot gift, I was forced to open a ticket in their system. Unfortunately, this process has been incredibly frustrating thus far, as the response rate is poor - I can only expect one message every two days, if I am lucky. They also request screenshots of your Steam purchases and other irrelevant materials that seem designed to waste time.

After four days, I finally received an update that they have to contact the other company involved to determine a course of action. I find their level of ineptitude and disregard for customer care to be unacceptable, especially given the fake support names they appear to be using. It appears that they are using some kind of outsourced Indian support service, which is an area of concern for many customers who expect more accountability and support from companies.

In summary, I would recommend staying away from Gamivo and giving your hard-earned money to companies that truly care about their customers. There are many other sites available, including kinguin, that offer better service and prices, making it a no-brainer to invest your time and funds elsewhere.

Gamivo Poor Customer Support and Slow Refunds: My Experience with Gamivo.com

Like many others, I recently had an experience with Gamivo.com that left a lot to be desired. Their support team required an excessive amount of personal information from me in order to verify my payment, which was certainly frustrating. I understand the need for security, but it would have been much more convenient to simply use another company that I had purchased from previously and received instant receipts from.

After requesting a refund, I was surprised at how quickly the requirements for verification were reduced. It seemed as though security measures were only important when preventing customers from receiving their purchases, which left a bad taste in my mouth. Eventually, I did receive a refund, but only after being told it would take days to process and being placed on a list. It was disappointing to see how slow and inefficient their refund process was.

Overall, my experience with Gamivo.com was lackluster at best. I won't be shopping with them again, as I believe there are much better alternatives available. To make matters worse, weeks later, I still hadn't received a refund, and Paypal had to get involved. I was surprised to see Sitejabber actively working to suppress negative reviews by requesting additional information from reviewers before allowing them to post, making it harder to find negative reviews of the company.

Gamivo Gamivo Review: Poor Customer Support and Refund Process

Recently, I made a purchase on Gamivo, a popular online gaming retailer, hoping to add another game to my collection. However, my experience with their customer service after my purchase was a complete nightmare.

From the very outset, I received an invalid game key, one that had already been activated by someone else. Naturally, I requested a refund for the measly $1 spent on the game. But, this was just the start of my dreadful experience with Gamivo. I had to provide all sorts of screenshots and details that could prove that the key was indeed unusable, which included screenshots of the activation process, all my Steam licenses, and even the time and date details. However, Gamivo continued to make demands for more detailed proof in the form of a confirmation from Steam itself.

By this point, it became quite clear that they were not going to refund me, no matter how much evidence I provided. And all of this trouble was over just $1!

I’d previously had a good experience with Gamivo, but this incident has made me cautious in buying from them in the future. I shudder to think what would have happened if I’d bought a $50 game and faced a similar issue. Gamivo’s handling of my refund request shows that they may not be forthcoming with resolving refunds for more expensive game purchases.

Overall, while there may be some decent deals to be had on Gamivo, their customer support can cause major headaches for those unlucky enough to get tangled up with them. I highly recommend that potential buyers think twice before purchasing from this retailer.

Gamivo GAMIVO's Hidden Auto-Subscription Service: A Scam or Breach of Trust?

When it comes to buying games online, GAMIVO, unfortunately, seems to have hidden auto-subscription's to their "SMART" service, which is essentially a 10% discount promo code for select games that many customers might not be interested in. This practice could result in unsuspecting customers losing money from their accounts without their knowledge or consent. For instance, one customer woke up to find $5 missing, only to discover that their card details were stored on the GAMIVO website and an auto-subscription had been made.

On trying to resolve the issue, the customer was met with unhelpful staff who refused to refund their money. This feels like a breach of trust and a scam to many people as they were unaware that a SMART subscription was included in their $13 purchase. Many countries have laws against such unethical practices, and GAMIVO's business conduct should be questioned.

Although their website does mention a subscription for a few dollars, it doesn't divulge that customers have automatically subscribed without their knowledge. So, there is every chance that you could become the victim of such a scam yourself. GAMIVO also seems to have positive reviews associated with their site, which could lead to the impression that all is well. However, the truth is that many customers have raised concerns about their auto-subscription services on Reddit and other forums.

Despite all this, we must mention that if you are persistent, careful, and informed enough, you might still be able to get your account deleted. In conclusion, it is entirely unacceptable for companies like GAMIVO to make secret profits from their customers. Such practices go against morality, ethics, and fair business practices, and these companies have no right to exist.
