I purchased a frenchie from "Faith" in Dec 08 via webfrenchies.com and did not receive ANY of the following that was advertised on her website: AKC papers, microchipping, health guarantee. "Faith" has been evasive regarding AKC papers and microchipping and has completely stopped responding to my calls/emails after the first month. We checked out the Sire Gabriel on her website and found out he is not registered with AKC according to the AKC website. This is not a healthy or normal business practice and now I fear for my puppy's health as well. She needs to come out from "hiding" and deliver what was advertised. Otherwise she should be put out of business of delivering sick puppies and breaking people's hearts.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I am an attorney that represents pet breeders in Missouri. I do not represent bad breeders (puppy mills). I have a very good relationship with the Missouri dept. of ag. that is responsible for licensing breeders. I have checked with Dr. Eber about Frenchiebabies facilities and was informed the kennels are exceptional.
Atthe owner's request, I personally visited her kennels and discussed the complaint contained herein. I would add to this posting that it is my opinion that the person posting this is commiting liable and defamation against Frenchiebabies. The person posting this complaint had the puppy over 2 months before it died. The incubation period for almost every serious disease that the poster listed is from 3 days to 2 weeks. Consequently, any disease that the puppy suffered was obtained after the puppy was in the poster's possession.
Frenchiebabies has a policy to replace sick puppies. However, documentation is required as is noted in the puchase agreement.
If you want a french bulldog, it is my opinion that you can speak with the owner and make your own decision. Ask questions and get a good understanding of the quality of puppy that is offered, then make you own decision. Certainly do not rely on this posting.
Yes...she is a scam! I complained about the sick Frenchie she sent me, as well. Put her out of business. Sorry for the loss of your Frenchie.
I purchased a dog advertised on Frenchiebabies.com two years ago, dealing with both "Faith Laymon" and a woman named Amanda (Pearl) who represented herself as Faith's daughter and claimed my dog's litter was hers and was raised in her home. I would like to say first that I'm very sorry for what happened to your puppies. My puppy, like others, arrived very dirty and with no vet records. Nonetheless, I fell for him immediately, even offering to write a testimonial, I was so crazy for him.
My vet, however, was apalled that the sellers would produce no vet records or bill of good health, and her radar went off immediately. My puppy was represented as show potential, and while I got him to love, not to show - my vet pointed out that he has moles and pronounced issues with the placement of his teeth that would disqualify him for show automatically. Awhile ago, I noticed something odd his his gait. The vet determined via xray that there is some slight movement in one of his knees - this is the problem known as luxulating patellas. When I informed Amanda, she had no comment or questions. She also would not reveal to me who my dog's vetrinarian had been while in her care. A legitimate breeder would want to know more about luxulating patellas immediately, as this is a condition breeders are determined to keep out of their lines. I'm happy to say that the problem has not progressed and that his gait has normalized, but I would like to remind Amanda, if you read this, that you supposedly work in a helping profession, medicine, and that to profit from a place like your mother is running is unconscionable. I also wonder why you didn't answer me when I asked who it was, if not a vet, that was administering the shots that the puppies were supposedly receiving.
I would also like to say to everyone reading this that when you fall for a puppy on a site like this, and you purchase it, you are partly at fault. There are some very basic rules of thumb to avoid supporting unethical breeders or puppy mills, and I feel that I broke most of them. Never buy from a place that lets you click and purchase, without wanting to know who you are. I called and got to know them, not the reverse. The dams of these puppies are never listed, nor pictured. Who and where are the puppies' mothers? And, what about those weird, grainy, barely there images of the sire, Gabriel? Also, if you have noticed, the breeder cuts and pastes a series of pre-written discriptions onto images of the puppies and she often mixes up the names of the puppies within the blurbs; apparently she cannot keep them apart. I will say, my dog is microchipped, and he has had no other health issues besides the ones mentioned. Faith Laymon also made it clear to me in advance that she would not offer refunds for puppies, and that the health guarantee itself only stood for so long as I was feeding my dog a particular supplement.
The bottom line here is, do not be careless, like I was when purchasing my puppy, because after reading the USDA report, it totally breaks my heart to think of other puppies, some my dog's half- brothers and sisters, born into her hands. I contributed to this, and I deeply regret it.
In February of 2009 I purchased two French Bulldogs, a male and female, from Wendy Faith Laymon's webfrenchies in Rogersville, Missouri. When the dogs arrived the female was extremely sick. I followed the health guarantee by taking her immediately to the vet where they diagnoesed her as having pneumonia and giardia. After spending thousands of dollars in an effort to heal my dog, she is still sick, is unbreedable, because of her genetic disposition to various illnesses. Wendy Faith Laymon never stood behind her health guarantee. I tried many times in vain to have her reimburse me for the vet bills. My dog should weigh approximately 25 lbs. and only weighs a mere 9. Upon further investigation on the internet I found that Wendy has at least 8 known aliases and was arrested and fined in the state of Washington for selling sick dogs. She was subsequently banned from selling dogs in Washington and has moved her operations to Missouri. I would under no circumstances purchase a dog from this woman. She is evil and obviously has no regard for her animals nor the customers that she serves. Quite frankly she is a con artist who is killing innocent puppies.
i also purchased 2 frenchies in august 09. one of them had a cold and the other one then also caught it. i went to thevet the next day after recieving the puppies and it was some form of kennel cough.they had to be put on antibiotics for a month! then within the next 2 months i started to feel loose hips on one of them and the other i could feel it a tiny bit. I just went to a specialist yesterday 12/01/09. and he informed me that it was hip dysplaisa! Do not get a dog from faith or whatever her real name is she gave us nothing but a hard time and i really dont know how she sleeps at night but one day god will make her pay for the pain and suffering she is causing. you can email me if you like at patticolon@gail.com
Wow, what a wake up call. I also purchased a puppy from Faith Laymon and somewhere I got the name Wendy as well. I did make calls to her and I did receive my dog and he is beautiful, very small though -0 which I had liked but now I wonder.. She told me he could breed and was registered. i went to register him (after waiting 6 mths for the papers_)and was unable too, not worried about it as neither was my female but still miffed that I was dupped. Had King-Kong been sick or needed care, I as well broke all the rules! The only reason why I am on here now is I was going to consider purchasing another dog...I did not research the first time enough obviously... but now I'm sure not purchasing from her. In total this is the 3rd problem I have had with online purchasing for a puppy. The last one fortunately didn't go through, as after I made a credit card payment, I found majot dirt on that breeder as well, fortunately she didn't received the fax. I panicked and cancelled my card. So always CONSUMER BEWARE written proof. I am just lucky as I am from Canada and to do anything would have been financially impossible "phew" If I was looking for a registered female where would I go?
Thanks and sorry about all your losses.
Sorry for all your losses! My Gawd... This woman needs to be stopped...
Truly sad if you ask me!
I too purchased a puppy 13 yrs ago from Wendy Laymon. A boxer in fact. He too had serious issues. GI problems all his life for one. When I first got him the vet here in Washington State (Yes, Washington state: where Wendy has actually been banned from the state for selling puppies that are sick, living in squalor, but unfortunately it hasn’t stopped her. And she seems to have changed her name! Interesting! Interesting she would pick Faith!)
Anyhow, when I first got him, the vet found 4 types of worms! Worms like heart worm for one are not found in pets in my region. So rare there is no need for the usual heartworm pill unless you travel with you’re pet then you might consider. However all 4 types of worms found were from the Midwest!
Then there was the “little problem” with his AKC papers. See we decided to pick him up right then. We gave her ½ up front then would send her a check when we got home and she would send his AKC papers. She mistakenly gave me the name of the dame & sire which that was what I expected to see on the papers when they arrived. However those took 2 months to arrive even after calling her every week to ask if she had sent them. When I noticed the names were incorrect, I called the AKC to complain…. And they told me that now since they weren’t sure who the parents were they would not register him! I get it but seriously who I now realize the AKC isn’t monitoring either! Its just money to them too….
Come to find out she was importing the “Puppy Mill” pups from the mid west for around $35 each, and then selling them around $450. each! A local organization here PAWS did 3 maybe 4 yrs of investigations on here. Her practices along with her lack of cleanliness ultimately were the reasons for her leaving the state! I know she was kicked out of the city of Everett and not allowed to sell from her rental home where she keep the pups in a shed in the back yard that also had lawn tools and a roof that was caving in! Right before she had us over to meet the pups she had bathed the litter. Come to find out from the investigation, this was because they would have been covered in feces prior. Proper environment for all kinds of diseases to flourish, Not puppies!
Apparently this was not a big deal to Wendy because she then moved outside of the city limits and began a new! This time it took many years and hundreds of hours of investigation to finally put an end to her at least for now in Washington State.
Our Boxer did end up living to 13 -n- half but he had serious behavioral problems which kept him from a lot of great adventures as I am a Professional Pet Sitter! It was because of that Lil guy I left my full time career to become a Pet Sitter.
So I just read the post by by Dale L. Ingram.
Really! Defamation... Bull [censor] dude... Case after case of this [censor] from Miss Wendy Laymon and you threaten Defamation & Slander!
NO WAY…. This has been going on for years and it’s the same story over and over. The woman needs to be stopped. She is full of lies and you didn’t see it either….
Maybe you represent her, would be the only thing that makes sence to me! Threatening anothers right to FREE Speach my friend (if you were a lawyer) is criminal itself...
I totally disagree... This breeder is continuously appreciated in the specialized community and also the American Kennel Club, they regularly win when they participate in organized events.
If you love dogs and you want to adopt one, then you should know that the French Bulldog is an authentic breed and at AFrenchBulldog. All puppies receive a veterinary inspection before they are adopted. The words you use here are in my opinion very drastic.

There are also many people who didn't have issues like those. If she is guilty she must pay, but if she is not we are not here to judge.
How to have sex
It depends what you mean by having sex. Having sex can sometimes mean a number of different sexual activities, but usually it means sexual intercourse. The most common definition of sexual intercourse is an act that involves a man putting his erect penis inside a woman's vagina. Sexual intercourse might also be used to refer to sex acts between two men or between two women.
Sexual intercourse between a man and a woman usually starts with them both getting sexually excited. This is sometimes referred to as foreplay, and might involve kissing and cuddling, touching each other and other sexual activities. Foreplay is important as it means a woman's vagina begins to get moist and a man gets an erection. If the woman's vagina does not get moist enough, then having sexual intercourse could be difficult or painful for her.
Condoms can prevent pregnancy and the transmission of STDs
If a man and woman are having sexual intercourse, then using a contraceptive properly, every time, will prevent the woman becoming pregnant. If two people have sex and one of them has a sexually transmitted disease (STD) then they could pass it on to the other person. Using a condom is the best way to prevent any infection from being passed from one person to the other.
If a couple are going to use a condom for protection against pregnancy or infections, they should put it on the man's penis as soon as he gets an erection. Some men say they worry about using condoms in case they lose their erection or have difficulty putting the condom on. You could get some condoms and practice beforehand. Condoms come with instructions in words and pictures which show exactly how to use them.
After the condom is on, the man or woman can guide his penis into her vagina. The couple then move their bodies so that his penis moves up and down inside her vagina. This usually rubs the penis and makes the man sexually excited so that he has an orgasm. The movement might also rub the woman's clitoris (or sensitive areas inside her vagina) so she can have an orgasm. But this often takes practice and a bit of experimentation to get it right!
@ mikeys : Wendy faith Laymon, Wendy laymon, Wendy Layman, Faith Lehman...whatever you want to call her, is a despicable person and to say anything otherwise is outrageous. She in NO WAY shows any of her dogs and is probably the most notrious Frenchie breeder in history. You cannot show mill dogs since their pedigree is uncertain and Wendy without a doubt runs a puppy mill. There is nothing legitimate about any of her operations including the sham of a rescue she uses to evade paying taxes but still mass breed Frenchies. I hope you enjoy sleeping with the devil, cause if there is one thing Wendy Layman is, it's pure evil!
I too purchased a French Bulldog from Faith Laymon or whatever her name may be, and honestly had no idea that other people have experienced the same problems that I have. After reading these complaints, I am in utter shock but the pieces of the puzzle have come together for me. Laymon claimed that, like everyone else's dog, mine was of the champion blood line. After submitting paperwork to the AKC and them denying my claim that my dog Buddy was a champion dog, I realized that I too had been fooled by this woman. My dog suffers from severe allergies and now at three years old has hip dysplasia. Although I love this dog so much and he has a great personality, his medical problems are a lot to handle. To top it all off, the dog that I ordered from the website was not the dog that arrived at the airport when I came to pick him up. Of course, I kept him and could not picture it any other way but in hindsight I did receive the wrong dog. I hope that this will help people learn from my mistakes and go to a local breeder that they have researched fully. And let's hope that this woman and her puppy mill are stopped very soon!
If you have recently purchased a sick puppy from Wendy Faith Laymon, please fill out the Humane Society of the United States Puppy Buyer Complaint Form - someone will be in contact with you within 24 hours.
Wendy Laymon has been a notorious puppy mill broker and breeder for years. I was instrumental in bringing this to the attention of PAWS, the Snohomish County Auditor's office and the media. I purchased two pugs from Wendy back in 1998 and had experienced all the things the posters above have. The posts above that are positive are, in fact, Wendy herself. She is a con-artist and a very good one at that. Wendy's time came to an end here in Washington, I saw to that, and her time in MO will come to an end as well. I have recently been contacted by the media here regarding a follow up and an update on Wendy. She is, yet again, my project!
I also have purchased a frenchie from her, frenchiepuppies.com. My came to me with a UTI and now has a collapsed Tricia. This sick sadistic woman is now selling frenchies calling herself a rescue. Post for adoption are really sick over breed females, one of which I think is my dogs mother. These dogs need to be taken away from this evil person.
You should see her website now, she's posing as a French bulldog rescue and the poor female dogs look over breed and sick! One of them is my dogs mother!
She's still at it till the very end trying to make money off these poor animals that she has abused!

She was convicted and served jail time in Washington State. Very public information.
How long can people like this continue? I too was one who purchased a sick Bichon Frise from this woman in Washington and spent $2000 in the first week alone keeping this dog alive. Over the 10 years of her life she needed 8 surgeries at a cost of over $20, 000. We had to put her down three years ago becase all of her organs were failing. I was also engaged in a press conference with PAWS to get this woman shut down. She has multiple aliases and is very well known for the selling of sick dogs. I believe that there must not be a conscience alive in a person who can do this. Please do everything in your power to get the word out about Wendy, Faith or whatever her real name is or any other person associated with puppy mills or puppy brokering. It is my understanding that Wendy actually did jail time in Washington and then moved to Missouri of all places (puppy mill central) to start over...sounds like she has just gotten worse.
Shame on you Wendy Lamon! Stop hurting so many people by selling sick puppies and not carring about these precious lives. My heart absolutely aches when I think of you and what you do.
Do your homework! Look up Wendy Laymon on Google and you will find out all about her as there are complaints galore and stories from everywhere that will make your stomach turn as well as your heart will ache from sadness. I bought a Bichon from her 13 years ago and spent $2000 in the first week trying to keep her alive. Took over $20, 000 over the course of her 10 year life span to keep her well. Wendy buys dogs from puppy mills. She does not breed them. Puppy mills have females in cages reproducing for up to eight years where they never leave the cage that is stacked on top of other females. They urinate and defecate on top of each other and simply are breeding machines until they die. As they continue to reproduce in vile surroundings the pups they produce become less healthy overtime. Many puppies in pet stores come from puppy mills. Some of them die before they can be sold. I know several people who have had a similar experience with Wendy Laymon who has several aliases. She had to have aliases so she could continue posting her puppies for sale adds in newspapers after being banned under one name. She was arrested in Washington for cruelty to animals and then moved to Missouri where she now claims to sell "RESCUE" french bulldogs... PAWS calls this woman "one of America's Dirty Dozen". Please share with your friends and family and coworkers to pass along that they should do their homework...don't buy a dog over the Internet! Wendy now has a post called French-babies on Pinterest...the poor pups look so sweet...it makes me ill to think she cannot be stopped in Missouri, but hopefully if enough people complain, the folks will shut her down there too.
I came across Gabby's "papers" recently when I was getting ready to move. I wondered if Wendy Laymon was still in business so I googled her name, I was shocked to find all the complaints about Wendy on the internet. I purchased my Bichon from Wendy in Washington State 15 years ago.
I guess I'm one of the lucky ones because she is still alive, I have been feeding her holistic & organic food for several years now so I'm sure that has contributed to her long life. At the time I purchased Gabby I had never heard the term "puppy mill" so was unaware of the deplorable conditions that the poor dogs go through. I have to admit that it was very suspicious how she wanted to meet, she insisted on meeting me in my town which was over an hour drive from her location.
We planned to meet in a parking lot, when she arrived she had only one Bichon (after promising me she had two) & one Westie. She said her mother was raising Westies but I wouldn't want that type of dog because they are hyper. Gabby was very dirty and her hair was quite long, I wondered if she really was a Bichon because she didn't look anything like pictures that I had seen. Wendy said that her eyes were stained from the bark that the dogs were kept in so she would discount her by $50. for grooming.
I decided to go ahead and purchase her even though I was a bit apprehensive. Wendy also promised to give me papers and it took many calls to her to finally receive them, the papers were from the Continental Company which I have found out will basically sell you papers for any dog.
Wendy did lie about her age, I was told Gabby was a couple months old but according to her papers she was much older. That explains why she has been afraid of people her whole life, she wasn't socialized early enough. I know after reading quite a bit about Wendy that she was getting her dogs from puppy mills in another state and that they were not always pure bred dogs so I know that I have been very fortunate because Gabby has had very few illnesses.
Gabby has turned out to be a wonderful companion all these years but if and when I do decide to purchase another dog I will not buy from someone that will not allow me to see the parents & the environment where they are raised.
Hello,
Would someone be able to confirm with me whether or not this website is from the same owner?
http://frenchbabies.webs.com/
It could be possible that she has entered a new domain name. She claims to be located in Dawson City, Yukon.
I have exchanged a few long emails with her but after requesting scanned copies of AKC registration, health and vaccination records she was very short with me.
Thanks very much, any help is appreciated!
Yes, I too would like to confirm that this is the same person:
http://frenchbabies.webs.com/
...Also claiming to be in Dawson City Yukon. (although, oddly enough there is no listed location or testimonials anywhere on the website). She also said she was selling Frenchies for a "giveaway price " of $650 including shipping to anywhere in Canada. I was on the verge of buying one. Thank goodness I found this thread!
After 3 or four long and descriptive emails, I asked for a phone number, or for her to call me... she has not replied yet, although I just sent it a few hours ago. Scary stuff!
We purchased a French Bulldog in 2009 named Romeo. We had him for almost 10.5yrs, he was a great little guy. We never received any AKC paperwork from Wendy or her daughter and when we confronted her we were told that she had already sent it, but nothing ever materialized. We ended up dropping it because we loved our little guy and knew we were not going to breed him, however we agree this is unprofessional and raised a red flag.
Eight years ago I responded to an ad regarding the sale of two retired female frenchies. When I contacted Wendy she told me those two had already been purchased but she had a female she was retiring who had special needs and I could have her for the price of transporting her to Maine. I decided to take a chance and within a couple of weeks Dazzle arrived in Maine. Wendy did not send her when promised because Dazzle had an ear infection and needed to have a clean bill of health. To my knowledge the only special need she appeared to have was that she was unable to eat dry kibble as it would cause her to vomit. That issue disappeared after we had a polyp removed from her ear. Dazzle was a wonderful dog! She arrived in Maine clean and healthy. One month shy of 13 years old, Dazzle was diagnosed with lung cancer and I made the decision to euthanize her . She was a wonderful dog and I am so very sad. I felt I needed to post this as my experience found Wendy to be a caring and responsible person. I am going to send her a note thanking her. I know it is heartbreaking to lose an animal and I feel for the folks who felt victimized by her, however, I felt it was important to share my experience.
