I fell behind on my car payment due to being in an accident back in December. I’ve been trying to catch up and have recently had the $ to start paying Five Star Bank back for my car. They repossessed it 3 days ago and I still cannot get in contact with Five Star no matter how many times I call. I was told that Josie DaMore would handle my case and let me know what I need to pay to get my vehicle back, but she will not return my phone calls or answer an email. I literally have the money to get the car but i’m stuck because she’s the only one who can send over the paperwork to reinstate the vehicle. Everyday that the car is there they add on more money, so I’m not sure if she’s somehow in cahoots with the repo companies since she refuses to call people back. I’ve seen numerous complaints about her from this website to the Better Business Bureau. I don’t understand how this is acceptable when all I’m trying to do is get my car back and pay them the money they need. I don’t get how auctioning off a car is going to be better than accepting my missed payments & fees while I continue paying off the other $25k I owe. I really want to get my car back so I hope this complaint will get me to be able to speak to someone higher up.

Same thing just happened to me! I called Josie 12 times in 2 days with several voicemails and never got a call back had to keep calling bc apparently she’s the only one who can do anything which is already appalling. She has a terrible attitude, she’s rude and acts like you’re a total inconvenience to her. Just do your job and the answer the damn phone.

Yes it was a brutal process. I ended up getting through to her on the 8th day my car was being held and before I could even tell her I had the money for the vehicle she started assuming I didn’t and yelled at me for having late payments. Once I said I had the money to pay it she was a bit nicer and I ultimately was able to get my car back. Overall, I wouldn’t try contacting her unless you 100% have the money to get your vehicle back and I wouldn’t recommended blowing up her voicemail because she will NOT answer.
