I placed an order on the website www.fitnesstimes.co.uk for a rowing machine and I paid through bank transfer. The rowing machine did not arrive and the company would not answer the phone or respond to emails. The company is also under the name Euro Broker and Treadmills Ltd, all run by the same man. I realised they are running a scam doing the same thing to many others, there are stories all over the internet. They take the money but do not provide the goods. I cancelled my order straight away as I was entitled to, because my product had not yet been shipped. After a long time I did get a response saying my order would be shipped soon, I informed them I had already cancelled my order and would like a refund instead. From this point all I got were delaying tactics, lies and false promises. The company has since closed their website and appear to have ceased trading. The man behind the whole thing is Warren Hatton of Doncaster, a man who sets up business, takes orders, takes peoples money and provides nothing in return. When the company he is running runs out of money he simply starts a new one. He is a very abusive and aggressive man as I and many others have experienced, over the phone in particular. Trading Standards and the police have been made aware numerous times of the actions of this man and his companies, however no one seems to be able to help and get people their refunds. My bank is unable to help as the payment I made to them was by bank transfer, the only available payment methods at the time of my purchase were bank transfer or cheque, leading me to now believe the company only accpeted these forms of payment because they are very hard for the payer to claim back.
