First Key Homes review: Worst rental company

This is the end of my second year with FKH and I wish I had NEVER rented from them. I wish I had found the company I will be renting from now! When I moved here, there was NO hot water, NO heat, horrible AC, the second bathroom has no running water in the sink, bathtub was not working. Door was broken on both sides. 2 closets broke the first time I opened them! I came from another city, so had no chance to see homes. If I had read the reviews about FKH, I would NEVER have rented from them!
The AC broke down several times and this company left me and my dogs w/o AC for a total of THREE weeks! Maintenance emergency never came nor did they care. I asked for a refund for those weeks: It was DENIED by the property manager Ashley (who is condescending, rude and because she has a little power, likes to intimidate her tenants!).They came over TEN times for HVAC and REFUSED to change the INDOOR Unit for me. They could NOT care less about their tenants even though they were charging me $1700 for this PIECE OF CRAP!
2 of those weeks were in the summer and I had to buy my OWN floor AC unit. Their technicians are the WORST! They are NOT AC specialist and just keep coming back and back! A total of 11 times for HVAC?
Not only that, but I had to spend $1400 out of pocket! First for an emergency plumber, an AC company to figure out what was the issue (over 10 times HVAC was an issue: heat, leak, thermostat and coil!). I had to work my work schedule around the technicians' work schedule. Also for a locksmith!
I spent over $800 for an AC company to determine what was the issue.
Property Manager was terrible as well and rude too in addition to condescending! That woman should be fired!
FKH do NOT like pets, that is for sure. Paint is so cheap it just comes off with nails, fly traps and dogs just playing!
I will be filing a complaint about them with the BBB and may hire a lawyer! I will also be contacting their headquarters to see if they will at least refund me what the company owes me!
The heat that my dogs and I had to endure during 2 weeks w/o AC in the summer was unacceptable! They did NOT care at all. Technicians came FAR too many times in this rental home!
It is OLD, poorly built, everything is falling apart (floors, walls), etc.. Kitchen has old appliances, is far too small and horrible looking. The Master Bath is not even large enough for one person and I am slender!
My dogs were able to damage walls just like that! And I could remove PAINT with my nails! CHEAP spray paint! My dogs have never damaged walls before.
Someone is coming to fix the issues for me before I leave and he cannot stand this company!
They overcharge as well for the rentals. The only nice thing about this house is the backyard!
Neighborhood is NOT safe either for a single white woman: no street lights at night, people speeding, etc..
Neighbors kept parking their cars all over the place and I could barely get out of the left garage! Horrible experience and neighborhood. Here are some pictures of where the neighbors parked and the inside of the house!
I know they will try and screw me anyway even though the house will be left spotless, etc...
There are SO many complaints against this company:
DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. I wish I had read reviews and complaints before renting from them!
If you are in San Antonio, do NOT rent 6601 Derby, SA, TX 78239. You will regret it! On top of that you will have to deal with neighbors who put their cars wherever they like including your front lawn!
DO NOT RENT FROM FIRST KEY HOMES. I hope they get closed with all the complaints and lawsuits they have!
