I would give a 0-star review, but that's not an option. I do not recommend building with Fieldstone Family Homes. They have been a nightmare to deal with. When they did final grade on my lot, it was not done correctly. When my landscapers showed up to lay sod, they had to re-grade my entire lot. That cost an extra bill to me, that Fieldstone is refusing to pay. My sidewalk and steps had to be removed and repoured. I got the OK from Fieldstone they'd pay the bill to fix my landscaping after the concrete was removed and repoured. Fieldstone is yet again not paying this bill. I also have several things in my house that need to be addressed, that are not being taken care of. The contractors they hire are garbage and do a poor job. Quality of work is not something Fieldstone cares about. No one responds to e-mails/texts, unless you are consistent and e-mail/text for months on end, then you get a very vague response. I have neighbors who have built with Fieldstone and are having the same problems I am. Fieldstone is nice to you when you start the process, but once you close on your house, forget about any sort of communication or getting problems fixed. I had HOLES in my garage roof when I moved in. The first rain, my garage was like a river. My 7-year-old can sheet rock better than the contractors they hired. There are holes behind my baseboards. A lot of my walls aren't even straight. My roof looks like garbage. I could go on and on. Don't hesitate to reach out to me if you're considering building with them, I can give you more reasons not to. For what I paid for my house, I should NOT be having these issues. Also, they tell you, "Make a list of things you see wrong with your house, and at the 1-year walk through, we will address the issues and get them fixed." I pointed out to them that the warranty on my house is up after 1-year, so legally, they are not obligated to fix any issues and I have no confidence in them doing so. They never tried to argue that fact to me. What they do is take your money, slap together a poorly built house, then leave you hanging. Sounds like a scam to me.
