I recieved a charge of $3.99 for a directory assistance call I did not make.I contacted the above company in regards to these charges and have given them 36 hours to remove these charges or I will contact the RCMP fraud division and cancell my account with Telus.More big buisiness fraud.

I had the same experience with my latest phone bill from Telus. I phoned them but the girl did not know where the charge came from. I Googled the company name Fasttrack Global billing but instead I got the website from a company called Triton. They have a very well written article on their site which explains the whole situation. The most important thing about being billed is that you have to give approval by clicking Yes on a form and they also have to explain that they will charge $ 3.99 and why. This situation is a legal case. I phoned Telus and without any problem and their excuses they promised to credit the amount back to me. But the girl on the phone byTelus was not aware of this company. But I now have found out that it can happen even if someone phones you and if you want Togo further you have to press 1. So be aware of this but it is completely legal what they do as long as it is explained to you. Cheers

I received the same thing. I phoned Telus and was told they could not remove the charge then I was hung up on. So I called Telus back and asked again and they removed the charge but also gave me a phone number to fastrack to call and find out why I was billed. I called and there was no answer so I left a message with my name and phone number and why I was calling. The next morning a guy called and was extremely rude. He told me he works for 800 numbers that have changed their phone numbers and they charge people 3.99 to get the new phone numbers. This makes no sense at all. He told me I would have to send him my phone bill, social insurance number, name, and address in the mail to him so he could send me a cheque for 3.99. I refused and he got even more rude. I was called a b***h, told to go back on my medication, He called me stupid and so many other things. I asked him to speak to the manger and he said he was the manager and I could only speak to him. So I told him to tell me what number I called. He said he couldn't tell me that information because only managers have access to it!.. I said you just said you were the manager and he was like no I didn't. I was getting so frustrated. I told him I need to talk to a manger then and he says I'm the manager of customer service. The manager of sales doesn't talk to anyone. Basically after an hour of fighting I pretty much gave up and he said he would call the cops if I didn't stop calling him. I wanted to know what I owed the money for.. Still don't know.. I looked up the email address I was given by him and it was just a blank page with their name.. Then I went to the fastrack website and it still makes no sense. In the Q&A section there are questions and answers like this

(Q) What are the alternate charges on my phone bill under Fastrack?
(A) These are charges for calls you placed or accepted in order to receive a service. These charges are valid. Please Pay your Phone bill or we may be obligated to pursue collections through an agency which can affect your credit. For further information dial Our Toll Free [protected].

(Q) Why am I being billed for directory assistance?
(A) This is for an information service that deals with Toll Free Numbers. These charges are valid. Please Pay your Phone bill or we may be obligated to pursue collections through an agency which can affect your credit.

I don't know who these people are or what they are charging for.
I called back Telus and let them know about what was happening and the Telus representative had never heard of this company and doesn't know how they managed to charge she was going to look into it. She told me that it sounds very scammy and not to give them any information. I wouldn't of anyways.. Just beware of these guys.. or the one guy.. The address for the company is in a small suite..
