Ive used EZ Salvage on 2 occasions. I really havent had much of a problem... yes sometimes titles and other DMV stuff takes a while, but ive been buying salvage for 20+ years and understand the process... Im sorry to hear all the negative feedback, but id chalk it up to a case by case basis...Im sure EZ has more then the 15 people who have posted on here anyway.

Best of luck EZ, ill still use you.

It has been more than a month since I paid them over 15, 000 for an invoice they claimed was an error, Now I am asked to wait for 10 to 15 business days for a refund. It should have been an immediate refund with an apology. My lawyer advised me to demand the car I was invoiced for. I made the Brooklyn DA office aware of what is going on. They have promised me an action if the matter is not resolved soon.In the meantime I tried to buy a car through them with no success since they got my money anyway.I have reached the end it seems like.I reserve my final opinion about this company till the matter is resolved.I did get a promising call from management but no action so far. No use calling them, it is a waste of time.

I actually gave EZSalvage a try even though all reviews were mixed. I deposited the minimum $400, they weren't successful at acquiring the car from the Insurance Company because the car was actually a private seller who backed out (wanted more money). I was OK with this and I asked for a refund, it literally took them 4 days to get it back to me on my credit card. Didn't even have to call into the office. I might re-deposit at a later date to try again because they seem to have lower prices than the other sites out there.

I was referred to ezsalvage.com by a friend that has bought two cars from them and one was sent overseas thus being satisfied with the process. Seeing some of the reviews I was hesitant at first but figured i would give them a try. Well today I received my car and am very pleased. There were no disappointments throughout the process. Nor any negative surprises when I received my car. I found ez salvage to be a reliable company. Their quick start guide is on their website which gives a brief overview of their business process and rules, very honest no fine prints. They have a high call volume therefore some patience is needed when calling but you will speak with someone during business hours. So if they are clowns as some refer to them as, they wouldn't respond back on the blog nor try to resolve any problem, in a professional manner as seen from their responses they have. And backing themselves up with facts. Read people read. The fees and refund policy is posted on site, it takes up to 30 days for a refund. It's in black and white. They aren't hidding anything, you consent to adhere to it once you start bidding.

I am the biggest sucker of all. I paid over 15000 for a 2009 mercedez that they claimed I was a successful bidder. The auction was over and now I see the same car being auctioned again. Now I have to get a lawyer and contact the DA office.Stay away from these scammers.

I bid on a Acura RSX 2006 last thursday April 22, 2010 (my account Hummerh2dude@yahoo.com) and i won the highest bidder on Ezsalvage. But after that i got no respond to whether if i won the the car or not. I called 5 times and every call was no help. Today when i called customer service, a guy was like you probably didnt win the car but he wasnt entirely sure. He just guessed from little of what i told him. i am gonna request a refund today. You can have the ###en 30 dollars fee for all i care i just want the rest of my money back before 30days. Bidding on a car and having no idea what the turnout is annoying as fu@k ezsalvage. Just refund $360 so that i can finish with your website and not deal with u guys again. Hummerh2dude@yahoo.com

Ok — I have called, I have emailed, I have faxed — several times each. I still do not have my refund of $800 from oct. 2009. well, they did send me a check that I deposited and it bounced and cost me bank charges. I then was told to fax the information to them and they would take care of it — including the bank charges. I did what they asked and never heard from them again — even after faxing info, calling, and emailing — nothing. they can get on here and give you all the numbers and ways to contact them and tell you what you want to hear, but nothing will happen. I will continue to try and contact them as I have for the past 6 months, but cant imagine I will see my refund of $800. hey, mr ezsalvage — next time you read this why dont you contact me, so we can skip this run-around crap — look up my account with ezsalvage and send me my refund! my account email was eqinlvrr@aol.com. cant wait to hear from you.

Please find the after hours information clearly posted on the EZ Salvage Quick Start guide which you apparently failed to read:

11. After I am alerted that I am the high offer on EZSalvage upon a bidding period finishing, can I be outbid after hours?

Yes, you can be outbid after hours by other companies working with the insurance auctions. We added this feature to alert our customers that an insurance auction has accepted a higher offer from another company either in the USA or from abroad. A notification is provided in the MY OFFERS section of your account so that you have an opportunity to raise your offer verbally with one of our buyers before 12 noon Eastern Time the day of the sale. This feature has been implemented so that a customer has the opportunity to counter offer.

The full quick start guide is located here:

Auctions are for over priced vehicles; even if you win an auction there always seems to be someone to outbid you in their so called "after hours". I deposited $400 with them (a requirement to bid) and bid on many vehicles I supposedly won over several months only to be constantly outbid in their after hours (they don't tell you about that!)

Once I figured out this scam I requested a full refund. In their terms of agreement they state if you are an active bidder for at least one month they will refund in full. In took over 3 1/2 weeks and numerous requests to get my refund and then only after they deducted a $30 fee. When I called them on their fee and told them I fulfilled their terms of service for a full refund they stated my refund was already made and the $30 would be left in my worthless EZ salvage account for future use. One begs the question, " I wonder how many $30 fees the scammers have extracted from people?"

Some users do not take the time to read thoroughly prior
to bidding and funding which can cause mis-understandings. EZ Salvage provides a
bidding platform for buyers that are not licensed to buy cars from Insurance auctions.
We represent insurance auctions and display cars for sale; there is no "buy now"
pricing, and only a user with the highest offer at the time of bidding period
ending with a funded account has his or her offer submitted. Such
offers are either accepted or rejected by the insurance auction.

The EZsalvage Quick Start Guide explains how the process works

Also watch out for "ridesafely.com" The same scam. I purchased a car from these guys last year. The condition of the vehicle was completely misrepresented, a lot of missing parts and parts that were not for my model. As soon as they get your check, you are not their friend anymore.
