I ordered a hard top for my Jeep Wrangler. I was told it was in stock by Josh P. I ordered immediately and was told I would have by late March since it was shipping from California. Today I was told the estimated shipping now was 5/15. Keep in mind I ordered on 15 Feb. They took full payment within minutes. Sounds like they told me what I wanted to hear to make the sell. I am now looking elsewhere and if I find will cancel this order.
Recommendation: Ask for some sort of guarantee or don't pay in full. They have 3 grand plus of mine to use for 3 months or longer.

Disappointing and Frustrating Experience with Extreme Terrain: A Review
As a Jeep owner, I recently made a purchase from Extreme Terrain to replace a window in my 2010 Jeep. Unfortunately, my experience with the company was less than satisfactory. Firstly, I received the incorrect window, which happened to be for the passenger side – rendering it completely unusable. Secondly, the replacement window that I received was the wrong size for my vehicle. Despite it being the recommended part for my Jeep, it did not match the zipper size of the top.
I immediately reached out to the sales representative to resolve the issue. Over an extended period of time, I provided pictures of the zipper, which had an imprinted number that did not match my Jeep. Despite my efforts, I received a less than helpful response from the customer service team, who told me they had never heard of the issue before.
After much back and forth, I ultimately chose to return the product in pristine condition, still in the original box. However, to my dismay, I was informed that the timeline warranty was no longer valid. This was during the coronavirus shut down, and I assumed that the company would honor their guarantee during this time. Unfortunately, they did not, and I was forced to accept the loss of almost $100 for a replacement window.
Overall, my experience with Extreme Terrain was disappointing and frustrating. As a loyal customer, I expected more from the company and their customer service team.
Extreme Frustration with Extreme Terrain: A Disappointing Customer Service Experience
When I decided to order some parts from Extreme Terrain, I was hopeful that I would receive great customer service and quality products. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely frustrating. I called in my order and was disappointed to find that two out of the six items I ordered were wrong and one didn't even arrive. When I notified their representative over the phone, I was told that I would receive a return label for the wrong items and that they would immediately ship my replacement parts. However, this did not happen, and I was left feeling like my concerns were not being taken seriously.
When I followed up about the return labels and the replacement parts, I found out that I would have to actively chase down and correct their mistakes myself. They wanted me to call UPS for a pickup or drop off the incorrect items myself before they would ship my correct order. This was a huge inconvenience, and it was frustrating to feel like I was having to go out of my way to correct Extreme Terrain's mistakes.
Not only was the process of fixing their mistakes burdensome, but it also took time away from other things in my life. I spent hours on hold waiting to speak with someone about my order, and I still wasn't getting the attention I needed. This kind of customer service is simply not acceptable, and it left me feeling like Extreme Terrain cared more about taking my money than ensuring my satisfaction.
In the end, I was left feeling disappointed and frustrated with my entire experience. It's clear that Extreme Terrain could do much better when it comes to customer service, and I would caution anyone considering doing business with them to think twice. To me, it seems like Extreme Terrain doesn't value their customers or their time, and I can't recommend them to anyone.
Extreme Terrain's Misleading Website and Poor Customer Service Experience
I recently had a disappointing and frustrating experience with the Extreme Terrain website. I was interested in purchasing an off road bumper for my vehicle which was listed as a "Special Order" product with a shipping time of 1-2 weeks. However, when I contacted a sales person to confirm if the product was actually in stock, they assured me that they buy several of them so customers don't have to wait for the typical lead times from the manufacturer.
Unfortunately, my experience with Extreme Terrain went downhill from there. After waiting for a significant period of time with no communication about my order, I contacted the website to inquire about the shipment status. It took two days to reach someone, who finally informed me that the product would not be shipped for another 5 weeks because they did not keep it in stock. This contradicted what the sales person had told me earlier. When I questioned why nobody informed me of this or why the website was misleading, they had no response.
To make matters worse, the representatives I spoke with tried to blame the delay on the pandemic, but then switched and said it was due to information from the manufacturer (in Utah). I was frustrated that this information was not communicated to me earlier and even more frustrated that there seemed to be no attempt to remedy the situation. Despite my disappointment, there were no attempts to offer a discount, a gift card, or even a coupon for future purchases. I was also informed that they did not care if I cancelled my order, which was over $2000.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Extreme Terrain and think it would be best to purchase off road bumpers elsewhere. I was left feeling misled, disappointed, and frustrated with the overall experience.

Extreme Terrain Review: Misleading Item, Disorganized Customer Service
When I set out to replace the bumpers on my 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, I turned to extreme terrain to find the perfect fit. I was thrilled to find a front bumper that I really liked, and it was even listed as an "open box" item that was available at a lower price. Wanting to make sure that everything would be in good working order, I reached out to one of the techs to inquire about the item. The tech assured me that there were no issues with the bumper - all of the parts were fully functional and present. So I went ahead and placed my order.
However, as I began installing the bumpers, I noticed that the front one was muddy in places and starting to rust. While this was a little disappointing, I figured that I could live with it. It wasn't until later that I discovered why the bumper had been returned in the first place: the passenger side fog light was fogging up, and the wiring harness was in disarray, rendering it completely non-functional. I ended up having to wire it to my stock fog light switch just to make it work.
If only I had read the negative reviews of extreme terrain before making my purchase! I spoke with a total of three customer service reps before someone finally advised me to take it to a shop to have it fixed. Looking back, I wish I had never bought anything from this company. But I suppose that we all make mistakes and learn from them in life.
ExtremeTerrain.com Coupon Offer Review: Misleading and Frustrating Experience
ExtremeTerrain.com is a website that offers a wide range of auto parts and accessories for off-road enthusiasts. Recently, the site had a coupon offer that caught my attention. The offer promised a $50 off coupon for purchases made between now and May 17th, which could be applied to a purchase between May 28th and June 4th. The process was simple: spend $200 using the code MAY50 and wait for an email with the coupon. However, my experience with this offer was far from simple.
I spent $230 on May 15th, using the code as instructed, but I never received the promised coupon. My frustration only grew when I called to inquire about the matter. The representative who answered didn't seem to know anything about the offer and kept putting me on hold to ask her supervisor for answers. Eventually, I was informed that there was no coupon to be emailed to me, and to use it, I would have to spend another $200.
The language of the coupon was also confusing to me. "Earn $50 off a $300 coupon" is not very clear, and I was left unsure of the value of my supposed coupon. When I asked the representative about it, she told me that I would need to spend another $200 to earn a coupon that was actually worth $50. The math just didn't add up for me.
I even tried to attach a photo of the coupon to show them what I saw, but I was unable to size it correctly for the website. In the end, I never received my credit, and I was left feeling like the offer was misleading and unclear. Overall, my experience with ExtremeTerrain.com was disappointing, and I hope they will work to improve their communication and follow through with their promises in the future.
Mixed Experience with Extreme Terrain: Helpful Staff but Website Stock Levels Inaccurate
Extreme Terrain is a website that specializes in selling Jeep Wrangler parts and accessories. In my recent experience with this company, I have placed two separate orders and called their "expert enthusiasts" to help me with both orders.
On my first order, I was in the market for a lift kit for my Jeep. The kit I initially wanted was listed as out of stock on the website, so I decided to give them a call to see if there were any available options. The rep was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to discussing lift kit options with me. We spent about 30 minutes on the phone discussing what would work best for my vehicle. He was even able to locate a kit in stock that would work for my vehicle and was ready to ship. However, when I logged into my account a few days later, I found out that my lift kit was not going to be shipped for another 3 weeks, which was not what was originally discussed with the representative. When I reached out to them, I was informed that their website does not always accurately reflect their stock levels, making it hard to cancel or change orders.
On my second order, I needed a specific tire for my Jeep Wrangler and found it listed on the website. Once again, I called the rep to discuss the order so that the correct item was shipped. After the order was placed, I went to bed with the peace of mind that I would receive what I needed. However, the next morning, I checked my account only to find out that the rep had ordered the wrong tire for my vehicle. When I contacted them, they told me it was too late because the order had already been locked.
Although there were some bumps in the road with my experience at Extreme Terrain, I do appreciate the help provided by the representatives. However, the fact that their website does not always accurately reflect stock levels and the inability to make changes or cancel orders easily puts them in a difficult spot. Overall, I found this experience frustrating and inconvenient. It seems that in the age of Amazon and other big-name retailers, a company like this needs to step up their game if they want to stay in the game.
Extreme Terrain Review: Damaged Bumpers and Unacceptable Customer Service
I recently had a disappointing experience with Extreme Terrain (extremeterrain.com), to say the least. Unfortunately, there were numerous issues with my order, leaving me with a poor impression of this company. Firstly, the bumper that I received was damaged, with parts literally falling out of the box upon delivery. To make matters worse, the customer service that I received was completely unacceptable. I felt as though my concerns were not taken seriously and that the business owner had little to no concept of service.
While I had initially hoped to receive a quality product from Extreme Terrain, it quickly became obvious that this was not the case. In fact, I was left with the impression that this company may even be fraudulent, as I struggled to find any redeeming qualities after my poor experience. I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing from this company to do their research first, and take note of the BBB rating before making any decisions.
In short, I found my experience with Extreme Terrain to be incredibly disappointing, and I feel as though this company is not deserving of the title "business." As someone who values quality service and reliable products, I feel saddened to see companies like this taking business away from more reputable companies who deserve it. Overall, I believe that Extreme Terrain needs to make some serious changes if they hope to be successful in the long run.
Extreme Terrain falls short of promised shipping timeline and disappoints with poor customer service
I recently had an experience with Extreme Terrain while ordering bushings for my wife's lifted jeep. Unfortunately, we were unable to find the part we needed locally, so we turned to Extreme Terrain for assistance. The sway in the rear end of the vehicle was too worrisome to drive with, so we paid an extra $40 for one-day shipping on a $16 part. Although I placed my order after the cut-off time on Tuesday to receive it on Wednesday, I was told the part would arrive on Thursday. I was initially pleased with this timeline.
However, when Thursday arrived, we received an update from UPS that the item was tendered to them at 10:45 pm the previous night, which meant we would not receive the part until Friday. This delay meant that our only vehicle was now out of commission for a total of three days. When we contacted Extreme Terrain to request a refund for our one-day shipping fee, we were informed the company could not process the refund until we received our shipment.
What's more, the customer service representative we spoke with tried to shift the blame for the delay onto UPS, claiming that the courier service did not pick up the package in time for it to be delivered within the promised one-day timeframe. However, this excuse did not hold up, as the UPS website clearly stated that the delay was due to the item not being tendered in time.
This experience with Extreme Terrain has left me feeling extremely disappointed, particularly in the company's customer service. I have found it frustrating that their representatives have been unwilling to take responsibility for the delay and have instead attempted to deflect blame. Overall, I believe that the company needs to improve its training and customer service practices to better serve its clients. In hindsight, I wish I had read the reviews of this company prior to placing my order. While I still have yet to receive my parts, I remain hopeful that they will arrive soon.
Frustrating Experience with Extreme Terrain: Misleading Purchases and Delayed Updates
I recently had an experience with Extreme Terrain (extremeterrain.com) that left me feeling quite disappointed. I purchased a tire that I thought was in stock, only to find out that it wasn't available after they had already taken my money. I had to wait three days before they even let me know. When I called to find out when the tire would be available, the time frame given was vague and unhelpful.
Additionally, I ordered a "wheel and tire build kit" which, as the name suggests, should have included both the tire and the wheel purchased together and mounted and ready for installation. However, when I received my order, I only received four tires without the wheels. This was a major letdown, especially given the amount of money I had spent.
Overall, it was not the one-stop-shop experience I had hoped for. Instead, it was a frustrating and headache-inducing experience. I would not recommend purchasing from Extreme Terrain and would caution others to look elsewhere for their off-road needs.
Extreme Terrain Running Boards: A Disappointing Purchase and Customer Service Experience
In September 2019, I made a purchase of running boards from Extreme Terrain for my brand new 2019 Jeep unlimited. Though I installed them myself, it took until the end of October to do so. It is important to note that my Jeep has never been taken off-road and is parked inside a garage when not in use. These running boards were a bit pricier, at around $300, putting them in the mid-range price point.
Fast forward less than a year, and on June 2nd, 2020, I noticed that the paint on one of the boards was bubbling and rusting quite badly. I was surprised, given the amount of time that had elapsed since my purchase and the fact that these boards were hardly subjected to anything extreme. What's more, it was only one section, on one board that was affected, leading me to believe it was likely a defect. I called Extreme Terrain, hoping that they would stand behind their product and rectify the situation. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
I was shocked to learn that Extreme Terrain had a policy that dictated that they only provide a 30-day window for returns or exchanges. Even though I wasn't seeking a full refund, a simple replacement for the one rusted out board, I was denied any kind of assistance. It seemed absurd to me that a company would sell a defective product, but then have virtually no customer service or support to resolve the issue. If I were you, I would steer clear of this company altogether.
I am extremely disappointed with Extreme Terrain and feel like I got nothing but junk for my money. I never expected car parts to rust like this, and especially not after such a short amount of time. If you look at the photos, you can see for yourself the extent of the damage. I would advise you to pay a bit more and go to a reputable dealer for your parts, as they tend to stand behind their products for at least a year.
