We purchased a 7 week old english bulldog puppy from this breeder. She told us at the time her puppies had a lifetime guarantee. 4 weeks went by and our puppy got sick and needed to be hospitalized. He eventually needed to be euthanized because he had a severe hypoplastic trachea. We sent her certified letters and statements from CARES (a vet) in our area stating this and she still refused to give us a refund.
Horrible experience! Do not buy from someone who is misleading and gives away unhealthy dogs without taking responsibility!

My vaccinations were up to date his next vaccine wad due by feb 8th he died before he could receive it. My puppy was treated for pneumonia and could not get better bc of the hypoplastic trachea. Obviously your google searches are incorrect bulldogs are prone to this trachea issue my dog was had it severly and the trachea was almost half the size for a bulldog. The trainer is a certified trainer for a bulldog rescue so by no means inexperienced. So you might want to get your facts straight. When numerous vets n radiologist certify to a hypoplastic trachea than I'm sorry google does not overule that. Subject and cancer patient to a cold what killed him the cold or the underlying disease. A normal goodhearted human being would at least offer a refund for a 14 wk old puppy. The shame linda is fully on you as noted not by emotion or google but by vets with a degree. Once again he was up to date on shots other the bordetella which is an option he died and would have had long term problems because of a congenital problem. Newborns can get a perfect health check and weeks later develop symptoms do to an underlying issue we loved our nucky and pass his ashes every night.

Additionally the person who received a healthy bulldog from her we don't disagree we are stating our dog had a congential problem that noone could have knew. My experience is baed on the facts and that in being a good breeder sometimes there are mistakes made and a good person takes ownership. How do we take a 14wk old puppy to a vet twice and not be up to date on shots. Come on. We were told to socialize from the beginning by linda it would have happenedeventually we aren't mean or vindictive peope we are a family with a 2 yr old who still asks for her buddy. We did everything right and paid thousands in hospital bills he was treated he couldn't get better. Learn the facts.

Also in addition the puppy was not taken to a boarding facility it was for training. Their were three other dgs there at the time all family pets not boarded dogs. I guess being a responsible owner means not taking ur pet around 3 family dogs at a bulldog rescue trainers home? I thought puppy socialization was key? Mayne all the facts are not on google. Repeat he was not at a boarding facility he was kept in a home w three family pets to be trained by an expert.

Thanks for your support PARVO and good luck with your issue!
All we wanted was for her to give us our money back for the dog.
We would have been supportive and gave her good recommendations and a bad mistake just happened. Life happens. However she turned the blame on us. What a shame! Thanks for the message we are doing all we can!

Update: Linda Cleary at Wrink A Bull Kennels was contacted and stated now she believes the dog never had hypoplastic trachea and she consulted with her vet. Strange how the measurement clearly shows SEVERE hypoplastic trachea. I guess you reach at straws. Planning on filing a civil suit. Please visit me on FACEBOOK at Nucky Avidan to view documents regarding proof of unfit for sale and SEVERE HYPOPLASTIC TRACHEA. We have almost 100 friends in support.

Bucks County Resident would you mind sending a letter to my inbox or email me at ashleyavidan@gmail.com. It would be great to add your story to our case.. I hope you get your refund. I cant believe she would sell a puppy to someone and the morning they pick it up tell you there is an issue.

The VETS were wrong.
Just like a person with phenomia, they will have problems breathing, lose weight, it is a rough road for a few days to several weeks.
All of the Bulldogs I know that were NOT put to sleep are healthy and ACTIVE bulldogs in a few months.
ALL Bulldogs have a small trachea, when inflamed even a little bit, it sounds bad. Heck it looks like the Puppy is dying, but so did my Sisters Father inlaw that had phenomia. These Emergency VETS, for some reason always want to put puppies to sleep.
People Educate yourself, with MANY websites, not just ones you feel are right.
Please stop putting these Bulldogs to Sleep, once they pull through this, MOST will be just fine.

I know this breeder. She states verbally that she guarantees the dog for a year. If anything goes wrong healthwise or the pet does not work with your family, she will provide a full refund. Personally, I have another issue with this breeder. I am hopeful that it will work out in a positive manner. Time will tell.

Sometimes bad things happen to good breeders. A dog isn't as healthy as it should be.

Sometimes bad breeders happen to good dogs. Over breeding the dog, not understanding the blood lines, not having a vet fully check the dog for everything prior to adoption.

I'm not saying these things happened but sometimes stuff happens.

I don't know any of you involved in this case. I know what I have been going thru with a rescue though. Sometimes mistakes are made.

To the breeder - if this dog did have a congenital issue that was aggravated by pneumonia and died, some of the fault has to fall your way. I might have missed it but did you tell the lady that adopted this puppy that there was an issue with the dogs health? If you knew and didn't tell her, that's bad business. It would make your reputation stellar if you and this woman could work something out - whatever that may be.

To the lady that adopted the puppy - if you did all the things you wrote here and your vet stands behind the fact that a genetic flaw played a big part in the death of this dog and the breeder doesn't try to work things out with you, well - I sent you a private message telling you what to do.

I hope both parties involved can come to some kind of resolution.

Wow! This is really a heated topic! OK I am the trainer who had Nucky at her home. He was properly vaccinated, the other pups here are fully vaccinated and healthy. There was no delay in Nucky's treatment. His trachea was the size of a coffee stirrer. If that is normal then the breed should no longer be a breed! His owners are great dog owners, they researched the breed, they thought they went to a good breeder. I simply feel that a refund is in order. No one wants to loose a puppy so young. This whole thing has been just awful.

Ashley I purchased a dog from Linda Wrinkabull and have spoke to several other individuals that have also purchased dogs from Linda. As I was beiginning my research for a bulldog I visited Linda several times. I was impressed by her knowlegde and compassion for her dogs. Her house and kennels were always clean and the dogs were well taken care of. BY NO MEANS IS WRINKABULL A PUPPYMILL. I wish more breeders were like Linda. Ashley it sounds like you were irresponsible with taking care of your healthy dog that you received from Linda Wrinkabull. What was so important that you failed to take your puppy to get it's appropriate vaccines. When you wrote your complaint why did you fail to mention your lack of responsponsibilityin your puppies death. Instead you tried to trash a great breeder who sold you a HEALTHY DOG! I believe two vet visits (Dec 21 & Jan 11) that the vet advised you your dog was healthy speaks volumns. My suggestion to you ASHLEY is take responsibility and STOP trashing good breeders for your mistakes. Zach, I was doing some research on another type of cogential syndrome of bulldog pups in google and found this post and felt compelled to respond since as a bulldog breeder and handler in shows I had never heard of a hyperplastic trachea causing a dog to be euthanized and something seemed a miss with the first post... I live in VA so I know nothing about PA Breeders or have first hand knowledge about puppy mills there

AHHH, that explains it... I knew as a Bulldog Breeder for many years that I have never heard of a bulldog being euthanized for hyperplastic trachea. This must have died from untreated pnemonia. Who takes a dog that your to a boarding facility and what kind of boarding facility accepts a dog that young and with out all its shots

Amazing how different things look when you get more facts

Thanks for sharing Linda I was quite puzzled from the first post

Ashley, You failed to mention that you didn, t receive the proper vaccinations before boarding a 13 week old puppy in a boarding facility that had 6 other dogs. You failed to mention that you declined a Bordetella vaccination from your Vet. You also failed to say that on Dec 21st your Vet did a complete physical on your dog and gave him a perfect 10. You failed to mention that you took your dog for a second visit on Jan 11th and again your Vet gave him a perfect 10. Then over a month later your dog had pneumonia which you subjected him too. You also failed to mention the puppy was Vet checked and free of any viral or bacterial pathogens before you purchased him. Shame on You, Ashley!

Something is wrong here, as bull dog breeder for many years almost all bull dogs have hyperplastic trachea its inherit to the breed but they live full natural lives but precautions have to be taken as not allowing them to get overheated. Dogs are not euthanized for this condition

When you received the puppy, did you receive any veterinary papers in general? If the puppy had a condition you did not know about and the breeder knew, you are most definitely entitled to your money back.
