Duncan Hines is a website that sells baking mixes and frostings. I tried their dark chocolate frosting and it was not good. The frosting was grainy and I couldn't fix it no matter how much I tried. The taste was okay but it wasn't good enough to serve to anyone. I wouldn't recommend this frosting to anyone.

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with the frosting from Duncan Hines. It was a real pain in the butt to spread, like seriously, it was a total nightmare. I even tried using my toes to spread it out, but no dice. It just wouldn't budge. I wouldn't recommend this frosting to anyone, it's just not worth it. And to top it all off, it tasted like toes. Yuck. Save yourself the trouble and skip this one.

I gotta say, I was pretty let down by the strawberry pie filling I got from Duncan Hines. I mean, come on, I was expecting a bright red color, but instead it was brown! What's up with that? I thought this was supposed to be a top-notch product, but it didn't live up to my expectations. I'm not sure if I'll be buying from them again after this experience.

I remember back in the day when I took them Wilton Professional Cake Classes. They taught us to only use Duncan Hines cake mixes. And let me tell you, they weren't wrong! Them classes not only taught us how to make a professional grade cake, but also how to decorate it. My "go to" mix has always been the Butter Golden Recipe mix, and so far no issues to date. It always comes out moist and delicious.

However, I recently decided to switch things up and purchased a Lemon Cake Mix. I even added extra Lemon Extract and 1 extra Egg to make sure it had that extra zing. But boy was I disappointed! It was dry, crumbly, with barely any detectable Lemon Essence. I was so bummed out. I was really looking forward to that lemony goodness.

And if that wasn't bad enough, I also purchased the Blueberry Streusel Muffin mix. But when I opened it up, there was LESS than 1/4 of a can of tiny blueberries. I mean, come on Duncan Hines! What's up with that? I had to drive 15 miles to the store to buy fresh berries so I could make the mix. It was just sad, Duncan Hines...just sad!

I really hope they step up their Quality Control Dept. because I don't want to have to keep wasting my money on subpar mixes. I mean, I know they can do better than this. So come on, Duncan Hines, get it together!

I recently purchased a Duncan Hines Cake Mix from their website, duncanhines.com, and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed. It had been a while since I had used a cake mix, as I usually make my cakes from scratch, but I wanted to try making a jello cake and thought it would be simpler to use a mix. However, I quickly realized that Duncan Hines had downsized their cake mixes from 18.25 ounces to only 15.25 ounces. This is what they call "shrinkflation," where companies shrink their products to keep costs down.

At first, I was confused when I saw the small amount of batter that the mix produced. I looked at the back of the box, but there was no mention of what size cake it claimed to make. I had to improvise and add more flour, sugar, eggs, baking soda, and other ingredients to make up for the lack of batter. It was frustrating, to say the least.

I later found out that Betty Crocker had also downsized many of their cake mixes from 18.25 ounces to 15.25 ounces. However, the package still claims to make two eight-inch rounds or a 9 x 13 inch cake, even though the nutrition label says there are only 10 servings in the new package rather than the old 12. It seems like these companies are trying to trick us into thinking we're getting the same amount of product for the same price, when in reality, we're getting less.

Despite this disappointment, I still love Duncan Hines products. They have a wide variety of cake mixes, frostings, and other baking products that are easy to use and always turn out delicious. I just wish they would be more transparent about their downsizing and adjust their recipes accordingly. It's frustrating to have to guess how much extra ingredients to add to make up for the smaller mix.

Overall, I would still recommend Duncan Hines products, but just be aware of the downsizing and adjust your recipes accordingly. And if you're feeling adventurous, try making your cakes from scratch! It may take a bit more time and effort, but the end result is always worth it.
