I had smartlipo done with Dr. Malan on my abdomen and it was the worst decision of my life!
My tummy is lumpy and uneven and you can see deep dimples. I know that this is not normal. I hate the way I look now. I have been researching this on the internet and I see that people only have one or two lumpy spots and they are small and almost unnoticeable in case they have any.
Dr. Malan refuses to see me again. I cannot wear a bikini anymore and I don’t even let my husband see me without clothes on. I am really angry since I know this cannot be fixed!

I had the same occurence, my smart lipo left a noticable lump. Dr. Malan, did tell me the process of healing sometimes is longer for some than others. He further suggested that the lump on the lower right quadrent of my abdomen was still hard which suggested that it was still swollen. Further along, he had told me that if the lump did not get any better with in a few more months that I should not hesitate to make another appointment. My lump has gone down, a little but its still there, it has left my skin lose because I feel that the swelling did not allowe my skin to tighen up accordingly. I will be making that call to see him, but i highly doubt that his staff or himself will refuse to see me as his is one of the most professional doctors that I've had the pleasure of being his patient.
Remember, when you have any surgical procedures you take risks. And all though our anatomy is the same we are still unique individuals who have individual needs. Dr Malan, is a physican who understands that. So, it is upsetting to see that there are individuals out there who jump the gun on negative slander before getting true facts.

I take great pride in my surgical skill and my high level of patient satisfaction. It truly saddens me when these types of anonymous complaints are spread around the Internet. If a patient truly has a problem or concern I welcome the opportunity to do whatever I can to answer their questions and ensure they’re happy. I am honored that doctors travel from all over the world to learn my methods of body sculpting and fat transfer. I have never had a malpractice lawsuit nor has any of my patients ever sustained any injuries or had to go to the hospital. Please keep in mind that anonymous posts can be made by anyone including competitors, disgruntled ex-employees and even Internet marketing companies. At Innovative Cosmetic Surgery Center we pride ourselves on the highest standard of care and patient satisfaction. We enjoy helping you achieve your goals. Liposuction isn't perfect every time but my touchup rate is less than 1% and I stand by my results offering free touchups.
