Dr Gokalp performed Rhinoplasty and Otoplasty on me in one procedure. She assured me she was a very competent surgeon and how she'd fixed numerous other surgeons mistakes. Both my surgeries were unsuccessful, my nose looks more crooked than before the surgery. The only thing she had done was to shave the bone down and cut down tissue rather than straighten the bone. My ears have only minimally been pinned back and they have still not healed 6 months on. Normal recovery time is 6 weeks. There is visible fold in my ears where she folded over my ear rather than cut out the extra skin.
When I went into speak to Dr Gokalp about it she blamed me for making her nervous about the procedure because I was concerned about having a dramatic change to my looks. Isn't this what plastic surgeons are paid to do, make patients feel at ease about having a permanent change to their face? She then said she would call me back to see if she could at least fix my ears, I didn't hear from her again even after I left her a voicemail, which is extremely unprofessional. My ears are still soar and I cant sleep on my side as they are infected in the back but its difficult for me to get anyone to look at them as she performed the surgery. After 6 months I have only now started to come to terms with my surgery.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This review took me by surprise! Dr. Gokalp is not only professional, her work is unparalleled. Her hands are miracle workers and they truly make miracles happen. Dr. Gokalp treats every patient like they are her family and extends nothing but excellent care and service.
I have known Navin Elizabeth golkap for over 10 years . Have never had a bad experience with her or her work. I truly cannot even believe what Im reading. Because that is everything she truly is not . The only thing I could say about her is she always runs late. But that’s only because she will take all the time in the world and make sure that everything is perfect . To me she’s an angel and an artist about being a doctor .
I'm surprised at this review because I think she is so attentive and so focused on making the patient happy, that I thought I was on candid camera. I was pleased with my experience and I'm suspecting there is more to the above disgruntled review because I actually think Dr. Gokalp is one of the best surgeons in the world! She definitely fixed the mistakes that my Beverly Hills surgeon committed. She is so courteous and so professional that it's hard to believe what you wrote. I guess there's an [censored] for every seat.
I have gone to Dr. Gokalp for years for botox and also went to her for rhinoplasty a few years ago. She was very specific and listened attentively to what I wanted out of the procedure. The incision was no longer visible after 6 weeks or so and my nose continued to heal in terms of the lingering swelling over time as is normal/expected. I have never had difficulty getting a hold of her, she just seems to have the usual busy schedule that doctors have. I would suggest trying to contact her again as she has always seemed to be very concerned about patient satisfaction with me. Perhaps you had some miscommunication regarding your expectations from the surgery having expressed concern about having a dramatic change to your looks.
