I would like to recommend everyone in CA not to buy any Kaiser health care Insurance.
They don't mind to take your money every month but once you are seriously ill (due to their delay misdiagnosis - 11 months in my late Mom's case from the Primary Care DO Dr. Khanh Xuan Nguyen), they will not hesitate to toss you in Hospice waiting to die instead. When you filed a complaint against their staff member (my late Mom's Kaiser Oncologist) to the Head of Oncology Department (Director), Dr. Farah Brasfield told us - the children, " everyone is going to die anyway " as she blahed about how her parents died and then refused to give my Late Mom's a 2nd chance to transfer to a better specialized Cancer Hospital - UCLA in this case, instead. She was very unprofessional during this visit. When I once asked to enroll my Late Mom to a Clinical Trial after the delay late diagnosis, the Oncologist - Dr. Thu Tam Thi Nguyen denied to transfer my Late Mom's to specialist center and said if we enrolled our late Mom by self to the Clinical program, they (Kaiser) would not honor to treat my Late Mom if something bad happened. I want to warn all of patients out there, stay away from those above listed Doctors and Kaiser Doctors in general. They are lack of current up-to-date knowledge, lack of compassions, totally incompetent at many levels so please for your own relatives or you longevity sake, do not enroll to KAISER incompetent health care period. It would be a death sentence for sure like my Late Mom's case. Kaiser only hires a C / D grading Residents/Doctors instead top-notch Doctors.
I rest my case. For your own sake, pls get out of Kaiser (or not enroll to them) as soon as possible. You could save $100 per month but your life will be permanently on a very thin thread. Many of my clients ended up dead due to Kaiser Incompetents Doctors. They only care for their pockets, their salary, their annual bonus for treat more patients per month instead your precious life... But if something ever happened to their own colleagues they would get the first special cares than you - ever!

You are 100 percent correct. Not only does Kaiser hire incompetent, imbecile doctors, including Kaiser Sunset ER, and ENTs, but they don't spend money on modern equipment that is much safer, such as the vertical CT scan where patient is sitting up and head is up, which is less detrimental to a patient with hearing loss than the horizontal CT scan, where the head down. Because the head is down, the horizontal CT scan places the patient with more CSF fluid pressure to head, thus increase perilymph pressure to the inner ear coupled with inserting a continuous flow IV solution into the arm increases blood volume, which increases perilymph pressure as well. If a patient has high middle ear pressure, further increase of perilymph pressure will rupture the round window membrane. Don't these stupid doctors know enough physics to realize that if you keep adding fluid to the blood, just like adding water to a balloon, and by keeping head lower than rest of body, eventually the inner ear membrane is going to pop due to gravity and increased pressure if the patient has high middle ear pressure? To make matters worse, Kaiser doesn't want to spend the money to restore patient's hearing with surgery.
