I contacted DOD just as Covid was winding down. I needed some therapy and they told me that my insurance would cover their services. I stated with bi-weekly sessions and was never charged anything. A bit later I was told that I had a $20 copay, and I paid that every visit. Fast forward 2 years later and I am getting bills stating that I owe them $1121.80 I called to ask why and they said insurance doesn't cover it. I asked why they didn't tell me that 2 years ago during visits and they had no explanation. Why did it take this long for billing? I cannot pay this, nor will I as I was told it was covered. Seems to me they tell everyone they are covered, then pull the rug out from under them once the services are rendered. I cannot understand the people I try to talk to as the billing is out of the country, and the language barrier is strong. Turns out it isn't even DOD anymore, but called Included Health. Something seems very strange here.

Desired outcome: Stop sending me bills
