Dixons Transmission review: Transmission repair

Stay away from this business. Had to fork out over 3500.00, car stayed in shop for over almost 2 months. They would tell me the car was ready, only to find the "wrong part was ordered", 2nd time it was the "part cracked"... was told they was putting a new transmission in at the end, only to be lied to and they got a used transmission from junk yard instead. While car was in shop, had rented a car to get around in for almost the whole 2 months, over 4,000.00 in car rental fees. I complained to the owner more than once and was brushed off. I was even quoted a substantial amount for "new" transmission at a price that was outrageous and no transmission in the world cost over 5k, unless you own a rig. They have a horrible way of interacting with people on the phone as well. I will never return and would encourage people to get their transmission work done elsewhere. Very unsatisfied customer. Also, when drove home, the so called transmission that was put in, it doesn't drive as well as my previous transmission so I'm not happy at all. They overcharged way too much in my opinion. Instead of getting a used part from a junk yard, they could have just put a brand new one in instead and save me the aggravating weeks I spent dealing with these people.
