Team Deutsche Bahn,

We were visitors to Hamburg on a tourist visit and had incurred a very bad experience with DB train service operating from Hamburg to Odense.

Details of the trip and issues faced are as follows

Date of the Journey - 3rd Sept 23 - on Deutsche Bahn - IC 392 Train - from Hamburg to Odense Station - at 16.54 pm - 2 passengers - PNR No - X4UCOZ

Amount paid towards these tickets was 140 Euros

Issues and harassment faced, the Train was cancelled and after waiting for 2 hours we were put in a bus which was supposed to leave us to Padborg so that at 9 pm we could take the connecting train to Odense. Unfortunately after about 45 mins of travel the bus caught fire and the rescue team, fire team and police had come to rescue. The entire process of isolating the fire caught Bus and getting passengers on another bus had taken more than 1 hour. Attached are pictures and videos of evidence.

With all this issues, we were dropped on Padborg station at 11.00 pm when next available train was only at 4 am in the morning ( it may please be noted that No food, No waiting place, Padborg station waiting room has no charging points as well as no toilets even )

Finally we had to call our known family friend to come and pick us from Padborg as we had the Danish Embassy Water Event to attend at Kamstrup the next morning at 8 am in skanderborg. We had to trouble her to drive all the way from Odense to Padborg and back again to Odense, as the hotels to stay in Padborg were sold out due to this issue and no other mode of transport was available, nor was there any place to take shelter in the cold night, no food or toilet facilities was available either.

Driver who dropped us had no clue what was next for us. We are Indian citizens and had come to Denmark and Hamburg for Business cum tourist visits. Even in country like India such incidents are being handled in a much more customer friendly manner.

My claim with DB is as follows :

Refund of my ticket amount 140 Euros

Compensation towards not providing basic service of food and toilets = 120 Euros person as per claim policy = 120+ 120 = 240 Euros ( 2 passengers )

Taxi charges approximately from Odense to Padborg and back to Odense = As per the dark one, 49 kroner + 2212 kroner + 1125 kroner = 3386 kroner one way which is approx 3386* 2 = 6772 kroner or 582 Euros

Mental and Physical agony, pain and harassment cannot be numbered for compensation. Sheer inhuman irresponsible behaviour.

Above is the requisition for claim and same be settled immediately and should be paid to the following account

Total Claimed Amount = 140+240+582 = 962 Euros
