Debthelper.com called promptly at our appointed time, which is always a good start! The representative and I went over all the information of which I was supposed to be advised, as well as the figures and explanation of such, that I had already in my possession. The representative explained the information and questioned me to make sure I understood exactly what I was signing on to and in simple terms explained anything I was mildly unsure of. I found the representative to be courteous and informative as well as a great representative for your Company. I was comfortable doing business with him.

DebtHelper is really helping me to clean up the clutter of my financial debts. Michael R., Mike, my counselor, is really helpful, patient and educating me from the start I called them for help. Mike is also call me and send me emails from time to time to check on me regarding the progress or if anything I would like to talk or address regarding my progress. My counselor was Alex Borge. He called me on time, was very clear in his explanations, and made the process enjoyable. Alex answered all of my questions concerning my reverse mortgage and the soon to be extinct LIBOR index. His experience as a counselor was very evident to me and much appreciated. I just completed my Reverse Mortgage credit counseling with Rene Viloria from Debthelpers. Expecting drudgery and boring lingo, Rene was totally personable and made the process both easy to understand and pleasant. Mr. Curt Mucienko was our counselor for Reverse Mortgage. This is the third time I have done counseling for a reverse mortgage and the first time using Debt Helper. Curt at Debthelper did an amazing job during our HECM counseling. This is the second counseling session my wife and I have done. This was an excellent counseling session for my current HECM refi. Curt Mucienko went over all the information, explaining any acronyms as we went. He made it a point to confirm I had a clear understanding of all items covered as well as the various HECM options and the advantages / disadvantages of each. He made clear the differences between this HECM refi and the original loan. He provided new information I don't believe was touched on during my previous HUD counseling. I would feel confident recommending Curt's company, Debt Helper, if he is an example of the level of professionalism you could expect from them.

As I was refinancing my reverse mortgage, I was required to have HECM counseling. This was a completely different experience from my initial counseling. Paul D. was very pleasant and professional in conducting our scheduled counseling interview for a HECM. He carefully explained all the items listed on the HECM loan comparison chart and answered all our questions about reverse mortgages. Also, he made sure that we understood all the upfront costs in an HECM, the accruing interest and annual insurance fee that are incorporated into the outstanding loan balance, and the homeowners' ongoing responsibilities to pay annual real estate taxes and home insurance premiums and to maintain the home in good repair. Although this was a requirement I was not looking forward to doing, it turns out that what I learned will be beyond value as I continue to get my spending into a better plan/budget. We, being my wife and I, were serviced in a program for Debt Counseling, typically a frustrating experience with questions about personal, social, and financial issues and, most of all, typically and seemingly with "detached" interviewers on the asking end who collect the information from my wife and me on the phone. Well, we were introduced to John who was our "beautiful voice" on the other end of our phone interview! John was the most comforting and cordial interviewer we've ever, and I mean EVER, had with any one! He's comforting, reassuring, and an expert at relaying his expertise in the field of mortgage paperwork and all facets of information collection to acquire what he needs to receive the necessary "Certificate" required by our lender to refi our home! To add a degree of difficulty to the issue, we're already in a Reverse Mortgage, and yet he was very quick to see discrepancies in the forwarded mortgage info sheets and immediately contacted the sender to correct the oversight. He resumed our interview to its completed and accepted passing grade for the next phase of our mortgage re-structuring request. He was so efficient being and such an honorable person to deal with that we can't imagine it being a more simple process. We feel blessed that we got to meet him on the phone. We immediately felt secure and reassured with his technique and help. He was "understandably awesome" in our opinion!
