These guys are scam artists, I took my 95 volvo 850 in after going to VIP for an alignment and because VIP didn't have the part to fix my loose front struts and back bushings I called the Darling Volvo dealership. After talking to the service department I gave them my VIN number and was assured that they would have the parts and so I said if they had the extra time would they fix my doors and windows because the mechanisms had gone in them. So after spending a few more days in Maine and not driving my car until I went to Darlings, I drove an hour away to Bangor to get my car fixed. When I dropped my car off they only had the repairs for my doors and windows written down so I reminded them of the priority of my struts and bushings. So the service Manager Don Willoughby told me he would look at it. Well after about three hours I get a call to come back because it was discovered that I needed a lot more work on my car. When I got to the dealership, Don had quickly explained to me that they would not be able to do the strut and bushings work and that my exhaust system was weld and mainlined through the bottom of my car but they had fixed my windows and doors. I calmly told him what the people told me on Friday-that they had the parts. He had told me they could not have because they did not know anything about my car. Frustrated I just took the bill and paid $226 for the work. When I got to my car, the door was still jammed but I was too frustrated to argue anymore so I just got it and drove away. I was so frustrated that I lit a cigarette and lowered my driver's side window. After smoking, it began to start snowing and my window would not go up. When I got back to my friend's house in Winslow, ME, I was cover in wet snow. I called Don at Darlings who said that I had to keeping pushing on the power window button (the same reason why I never used it before and was supposed to be fixed by them) The next day I drove home back to Massachusetts and parked my car. The next day while walking back to my car from the commuter rail I noticed that my tailpipe was missing. I got on all fours and looked under my car, my entire exhaust was missing and the bracket that held it in place was still secure and intact. Again I called Darlings and left a message about my missing exhaust. The next day, Don called me and told me that when they looked at the car there was no exhaust and that they wrote that down in my service diagnostic. I then check my VIP service slip and even called them and they told me that there was a rattle but that the exhaust was there and intact when they examined my car on the previous Friday. So after the run around they gave me I contacted the Maine DMV and filed a complaint and investigation slip. These guys are sleazy stay away and go to your local Euro Mechanic.

Whoever wrote that it is not true was in the car business for 40 years people should not be allowed to lie even know it’s the first amendment right i’m sure whoever reads this common obviously does not believe that how could such a thing happen if his muffler was stolen his car would be so loud he couldn’t drive it he drove an hour and a half with that like that in the middle of the winter with those window broken also should be a law against this
