I purchased an extended warranty for my Club Cadet push lawnmower this year. I was charged $33 at the actual Club Cadet website, May 12, 2022.

For the last ten days, I have been trying to get a printable verification of the warranty by calling MTD, the umbrella company. This failed several times, as I was told that the verification was to be sent to my e-mail address, and never was. Several more calls, with at least half-hour on hold times followed. Subsequently, MTD could not help, even telling me that there was "no such thing" as an extended warranty!

Finally, after spending two hours getting transferred around several agencies, each with waiting on-hold times of up to one half hour, I was transferred to Club Cadet, where I was told that my mower did not qualify for an extended warranty, even as my bank statement shows the $33 debit for 5/12/2022. I was again transferred to a billing department, who then tried to transfer me to another department to claim a refund for the bogus extended warranty. So I told the agent to keep my money, and that I will never buy from MTD or Club Cadet again. And I wish that I had all of my wasted several days time back from this absurdity. Beware of MTD and Club Cadet customer service.

P.S. If you call them, be prepared for some fairly discourteous agents.

Desired outcome: To discard my Club Cadet lawnmower, and purchase from a more reliable company.
