I messed up on 2 credit cards and was told to pay up or face court. I paid them off ASAP. Got an email in July 2022 saying my Credit Report would be updated as PAID. I've emailed these guys but they're ignoring me. It's been 10 months and my credit report is still not updated like they said. This is messing with my credit and making it hard to use.

I agreed to pay right away after the agent promised it wouldn't affect my credit report since it was still under their control. But it turned out to be untrue and it hit my record on July 7. I called several times to see why this happened, but they said the agent wasn't there anymore and the account wasn't paid in full, which is not true. I called the hospital and the agency back and forth until they agreed it was paid and sent me a letter saying that, but it didn't solve my problem with *** to remove it from my file. The *** informed me that the only way to remove this mistake is by the collection agency who filed it. Joel, the new agency employee, wasn't helpful. He kept saying he can't do anything with *** and promised to talk to his superior and call back but never did.
