Coombe Inc review: Leisure books

Yesterday, 14 March 2022, I received a sms from Coombe Inc stating that my Leisure Books loan account has been handed over to Coombe Attorneys. I contacted the number provided ([protected]) and spoke to a lady. I asked her to provide me with proof of all outstanding monies as per their claim. She did not request my e-mail address or any other info, so I don't know how she will get this info to me.

I do not have a loan account with Leisure Books, neither do I owe them any money. As far as I know, Leisure Books closed down in 2010. If there was an outstanding balance, could they not have reached me in the past 12 years to inform me? Now I am slapped with a law suite and have to pay all the legal fees as well. I Googled the law firm, but their tel nrs are not answered, and very few info is available on the internet.

I can't help wondering if this is a scam?
