We purchased a Cuisinart coffee maker in March, 2025. Two months ago, the coffee maker caused the electrical outlet to short. This destroyed the coffee maker and two overhead light bulbs that blew out. Our microwave was also compromised when its outlet received some of the surge. We had an electrician investigate the outlets and he confirmed the outlet was sound and did not cause the short. We opened the coffee maker and found "burn" marks within the coffee maker and water. The electrician was $250.00 and the coffee maker and light bulbs were approximately $50.00. I have reached out to Conair who will not replace the coffee maker. They have been completely uncooperative and dismissive of the matter and have offered no resolution for the matter.
Claimed loss: $300
Desired outcome: Compensation for the losses experienced due to the defective coffee maker.

Coffee maker leaked water that caused electrical outlet short. This caused several outlets in house to also short. Conair was notified but has taken NO action to replace coffee maker or investigate the reason for the short. We have sent photos and had an electrician rule out the electrical system as the source of the damage. Fortunately, this incident did not result in personal injury. We still have the burned out coffee maker and have offered to send it to Conair but they have made no effort to investigate the matter.
