To whom it may concern,

I would like to bring to your attention the workings of Zero Debt and how they have managed to get me into more debt than what I was before I dealt with them.

Dealings with - Christa Smit - Debt Review Administrator [protected]@zerodebt.co.za, Chris Craven - [protected]@zerodebt.co.za, Esmeralda Martin - [protected]@zerodebt.co.za.

I have unfortunately found myself in a very bad financial situation due to having the responsibility of taking care of my family. Not only is this embarrassing, but an extremely stressful time. I thought it to be a wise decision to contact Zero Debt for assistance and try to pay off my debts.

When I spoke to the 'supposed' debt counselor at first and explained that I would have to move out of the house where I was renting at the time because the owners have sold the property and that I would need a deposit etc. in order to do so, I was informed not to worry as we could deal with that at the time it happens and that they are there to assist me.

Once the contract was signed there was no more communication from ANY of these people, I actually wonder if Chris Craven actually exists because he's never available to take calls or apparently also does not have time to read or respond to emails. When the time finally arrived for me to move I emailed all off them to find a solution and make a payment arrangement for that one month that I could not pay the full amount and once again got NO reply. Yet, as soon as they did not receive the payment they were quick to send me threatening emails, sms's and phone me. Not only did they not do a proper debt assessment to start with (which is false advertising, see attached snippets from their website where they clearly state this), they are guilty of false advertising and worse...they should not be in the business of debt counseling (the don't understand the word "counseling".

I was informed that there was a supposed R500 that I was to get back - I never received this. I tried calling - got no answer. I email - I got no reply.

Wesbank informed me that they will be cancelling my debt review from their side because it says on my payslip 'car allowance - Zero Debt never brought this to my attention when I submitted my documents, nor did they bother to inform Wesbank that the 'car allowance' is basically a loan from work and that I actually pay this back!

Today I received a statement from Wesbank and apparently I am behind in payments for almost 3 months, so my question is...where did the R6500.00 go that I paid to Zero Debt every bloody month?

Thanks to Zero Debt I am now so far behind in payments and because of their non existent communication, false advertising and providing me with incorrect information, I am now worse off financially than what I was before.

I sincerely hope that these people will be stopped from doing this to other people whom are already in a bad situation (people who would like to set things right and pay off their debt and not just not pay) and then be taken advantage off by businesses like Zero Debt.

Yours Sincerely
