They buy old policies and try to collect payments
I received a bill out of the blue from Washington National Ins.co. for over $100.
I called to investigate and they said I opened the policy in 1958! The year I was born.! They also informed me I let the grace period expire when I was 5, yes 5 years old and my policy was auto paid in a forfeiture option. they also said they had my signature on file. Wow! it must be in crayon since I was 5 years old.
What absolute nonsense is this. They are buying old policies and trying to get people to pay fees they say owed. Its criminal and i'm not paying a penny
Desired outcome: To never send me a bill again and I want some sort of cancelation in writing.

Worked as a 1099 contractor for Washington National in years 2014 and 2015. Company 1099s do not correspond with amount of money paid in either year. Company issued 1099 for 2016 for $3, 371.90 even though they paid me no money for that year. Totals on 1099's for the three years exceed money paid to me for that same period. Company claims I owe them money for commissions paid on insurance policies and then were canceled but they refuse to provide details.
