Having had a bad experience with a roofing company prior to meeting with Waderose (Stephen Pratt) we were hoping he would repair and finally resolve the problem we had with the roof. However, the original price quoted increased a couple of times and the reason given was problems he encountered from the previous company.
My mother (78 years old), was very upset with the colour of the ridge tiles he used as they were terra-cotta and the roof being grey it didn't look right. He told her that was the only colour available which at that moment she believed. Of course this isn't true and in addition he fitted the wrong size of ridge tile and some were not correctly pinned. In addition he never actually fixed the leak and when he returned after our complaint said the leak was from a different source. His cement work was crumbling after 8 months and the Valleys completely out of line and if you looked hard enough despite not being a roofer you could see that it was clearly a patched job my poor mum had paid for. Several different professional roofers unanimously have agreed that this work was not fit for purpose and thankfully we found somebody who has repaired the roof properly. The problem is, how do you ever get compensation from this type of trades man?
