I had a few readings via Vaughn Paul Manley... the following are my experiences with him:

1. Even though he requests the pertinent information from you for a reading ahead of time and the questions you are interested in having answered... when you finally get your reading he is totally unprepared...

2. You are immediately put on his clock for the time paid for upfront... as soon as you answer your phone... he then immediately goes into making small talk about the weather in your area... etc. ... using up your money and paid for time for this... Tick-Tock! He constantly tries to get you talking about something else wasting your paid for time... 5 min before the end of your paid for time he interrupts and takes up more of your paid for time... telling you your time is almost up!

He has had your information and your questions for days but takes up your precious paid for time in re-asking everything... when you finally get to pin him down to a question... he takes several deep ... and very slow breathes... several minutes go by as well as your $$$ - and you finally get a half-baked answer!

He does hit some things on the head especially when doing your Natal Chart which he requires you do first with him at Mucho... $$$ ... before you can move forward to booking a progression reading with him... what a rip-off! You already know what has happened to you from birth on... don't you?

Now he has gotten himself on You Tube... so he really gives you the run-around in getting a booking ... even if you have been a loyal customer. With Vaughn he has no respect for his loyal customers who have come back to him and continue spending their money with him. What does that tell you about him...
I have had excellent Astrologists in the past... my first Astrologist 40 years ago... went 20 years into my future listing upcoming events with approximation of times and all of them to the very last one came true sequentially! Now that is a good astrologist and you did not have to wait on her for your answers at your booking - she got down to it and you got more than your Monies worth! NOT so with Vaughn Paul!
I had another excellent Astrologist for 25 years do progressions tapes for me every 3 months for $50.00 --- her accuracy of upcoming events was incredible... Not so with Vaughn Paul
Vaughn told me I was in a Venus Dasha and that good things were coming my way... he totally missed my Mother being abducted and Murdered 2 months after his progression reading for me... Now that is a premiere example... of Poor/inept reading... and you don't get your money back!
That was a major event that he should have seen coming up in my Cha and he never said a word!

Bottomline: He wastes your time and takes your money and gives half-baked readings... Progressions... forget it he is one of the worst I have ever experienced... you pay upfront before you get your appt. booked and you have to beg and call and recall to get it!

Now there is the Truth!

I had a reading with Paul and was very disappointed. I had a similar experience to the people described above. He was incredibly unprepared. I truly feel like the first time that he was looking at my chart was while we were on the phone. He would take long, several minute pauses to review my chart and gave me very general answers. I also informed him before prior to our session that I have had many readings before elsewhere, so this wasn't my first go-around. However, he still went over basic things about my chart and characteristics, none of which I was interested in learning because I already knew this.

KRS is not a good astrologer - he is not nearly as intellectual as he thinks he is as such he CANNOT properly advise anyone. Before getting ANY readings watch at least 100 videos of a person and wait for a year to absorb the information in their videos - compare people and see who has a more insightful approach - a more mature approach. This guy is NOT able to see his flaws - he is catty and rude and insulting. He constantly says he is great - I do watch his videos when he interviews someone good and he does have some good people on his channel - BUT then you have to hear him chime in - annoying. If I had the funds I would do a reading from others - I would list them hear but then I don't want anyone to think I AM them etc. But just really shop around. He does not KNOW enough - it is sad. There is tradition - combined with life experience and modern day insight that needs to happen - and he does not have that - he does NOT take readings seriously - he is a child.

ha! I also had a reading by KRS - not good and he is not educated enough in the field to do a reading - he charges approx $120 and he gives a 10 min recording - ok for the first four minutes he just looks at your chart and pauses - because he JUST saw it for the first time - disrespectful and this is a serious service to provide. His predictions did NOT come true - BUT what is more annoying are the insults that he gives on his videos referring to people's charts - so then NOW everyone watching will be worried omg is it me'? I stopped watching his videos sometimes he interviews good people - then I will watch it but rarely as many of them have their own channel. I would name who is good but I don't want to create conflict for them. I have not gotten any readings from anyone else - learn for yourself but don't drive yourself crazy with astrology - just live. I agree with you KRS is not worth any money.

Hello all,
I was planning to book a reading, and now I will not. Thanks for taking the time here to post these.
If astrologers cannot give you more in depth reading than what ypu figure out for yourself thr these videos, then what's the point of charging so much? If it is not in depth, sure, do consultations, not everyone has time to learn thr videos here, but charge accordingly. If it is 200$, it better be something that I will onky figure it out myself after having a guru for few yrs.!

Be ware the KRS guy one hell of a scamster i ve sent him my birth chart 3 different times surprisingly he came up with different answers all the time He made a video of marilyn monroe's death the 1 st one which he deleted claiming some weird things happened to him ( which i highly doubt ) he is a very good presenter not an astrologer he made those videos so convincingly he contradicts himself a lot of times sometimes rahu/ketu cancel yogas by their aspect and amplify yogas by their aspect he calls beer the holy water on his channel, does drunk horoscopes i sent him my uncles horosocpe none of his predictions came true when asked he replied by saying " astrology is an ocean and most astrologers are at the shore" then why the hell does he scam people when he is still at the shore of an ocean BEWARE of KRS guys i lost my peace of mind with guy he comes nowhere close to predicting

I was really disappointed with my reading as well. I agree with the complaint above. I actually read this complaint and still went on to get my reading done with Vaughn Paul Manley. He had good testimonials too so I thought I should take a chance anyway. There will always be people who are not satisfied but I was hoping I wouldn't be one of them. I have had good astrology readings in the past.

It seemed like he wasn't prepared or maybe that was his style or the way he talks since the complaints above are similar to my experience (long pauses, deep breaths). I don't know much about Vedic Astrology but enough to look at my own computer generated chart and research my own planets, houses, dashas, etc. Vaughn would start talking about planetary positions, conjunct this, lord is with that, but I was hoping he would explain more. Isn't that why we pay for a reading? Are my expectations wrong here? He would read out things I already researched myself by looking at my chart (for example, my ascendant description - which is the easiest thing to find out about yourself). Another example, Vaughn would say, "these planets are in great positions, it's exalted, comfortable with each other." Ok, that's nice but ... what does that mean, what do I do with that, who cares.

He has 20+ years of experience and I was hoping he would give something useful and applicable. It was so generic. He gave me career ideas that I have already read about by looking at my own chart. I wouldn't advise spending money on a consultation with him because you can reinvest your money in yourself and go to the KRS youtube channel and learn more about your chart than you can with this reading. It was a waste of money and maybe that's my fault for wanting to believe in another astrologer. I would ask for a refund but it's done now, he provided a service. I recommend he lower his prices because the value you get does not match the amount you pay. If you get a consultation with him, be more specific and keep bringing him back to what you want to know and stop him if he gets to bookish / throwing out vedic terms that you don't care about.

The complaint against Vaughn Paul Manley is 100% valid. He's total time and money waster. His predictions don't come true and he's nowhere close to predicting.. I think he has learnt art of fooling people by posing himself as a good astrologer. He's earned fame due to his association with great Indian Astrologer K.N. Rao. But shame on him he hasn't learned anything. I booked 1.5 hours of consultation with him after watching his videos on YouTube with KRS channel. But I regret my decision till date. I don't think the complaint made against him should be removed as I agree with the people complaining. He's totally unprepared and is very bookish in his approach. Lacks intuitiveness of course! Fails to predict major events in the immediate future of his clients. Fails to predict correctly about the questions asked, although they are asked well before the actual consultation. Shame I spent so much money on him, he doesn't deserve it.. But good business he's doing by fooling people and faking that he's got excellent reputation.. Too bad. Mr Manely pls Man up!

Dear Complaints Board,
I'm disputing this case because this woman has made false claims that are hurting my otherwise very excellent reputation. See: http://lightonvedicastrology.com/readings-testimonials.htm

She admits that she was a loyal client who had had several readings done by me. If I was so terrible an astrologer, then why did she get multiple readings? That's a clue that these are false claims.

Here are the points I'm disputing:

1) She claims that I'm totally unprepared. I'm never unprepared. I always go through the same steps while preparing for every session, which takes about 20 minutes.

2) She claims that I start charging from the moment the client answers the phone. I never do this. The session only begins when I start recording, which is only after initial chit chat about the weather, etc. She claims that I am stingy with time, however I usually go over at least 10 minutes at no extra cost.

3) She claims that she always has to call, recall and beg to schedule a reading. This last session with her in January was just after I got out of the hospital. I had a backlog of at least 40 clients wanting to schedule readings. This was not normal, but she gave the impression that I take people's money and don't want to schedule their readings. I was just extremely busy and recovering from an appendectomy surgery.

4) Lastly, she gave the wrong time for her birth, and therefore the readings I did were inaccurate. After discovering her complaint, I've been researching her chart and events like her mother's death in January. It's clear that she was actually born at least 2 minutes earlier. I phoned her about this on Thurs July 18th, and offered to find her actual birth time and give her another reading for free. So far, I have not heard back from her.

Please remove this complaint as it is totally false, baseless, and slanderous. Every thing I've said here is 100% true and can be backed with evidence if you'd like me to provide that. I'd be happy to answer any questions that you may have. Feel free to call me. I look forward to your response and getting this resolved. Thank you!

Very sincerely,
Vaughn Paul Manley, M.A.

Prediction of such bad events as your mother murder in the reading Vaughn Paul would consider unethical. Per his policy on his web site
The reading should empower and not leave the person with fear. Fear paralyzes the will, and everyone needs the will to take the next positive step in their lives. More importantly, there is always God's grace above astrology, so never paint a negative, fearful, 100% fatalistic picture. To assume that you know that something negative will definitely happen should never be said. Astrology only shows likelihoods, not inevitabilities. However, the chart may show an extreme likelihood, a dridha karma or fixed karma, indicating a slim chance for avoiding a negative outcome. Still, there's God's grace that may intercede, which the astrologer may not see, but that is easily seen by an omniscient yogi or highly intuitive individual.

I think Vaughn Paul described his view of predicting bad and fatalistic events below

The below is from Vaughn Paul Manley's description of what he considers ethical for an astrologer. May be your mother's death not being revealed to you, was a way to spare you of what was happening so it would not have tarnished your time with her. Frankly, I would have preferred to be spared of something like that in the readings
Per Vaughn Paul:
The reading should empower and not leave the person with fear. Fear paralyzes the will, and everyone needs the will to take the next positive step in their lives. More importantly, there is always God's grace above astrology, so never paint a negative, fearful, 100% fatalistic picture. I think that Vaughn Paul Manley does an excellent job with rectification of your date of birth. I was really impressed when I gave him what I thought was a right month and year of my father's death. We have been estranged so, I thought it was January 2005 and he called me back asking if I am sure about that, since early February of 2005 would be more likely. And when I thought back, it was exactly how if was, it was a first week of February, which I have not remembered by myself.
Reading itself, I agree could be a bit more organized.
About being stingy on the time leftover, he pointed out that there was 15 min left and he was going to give me a credit, but I lel him to just keep it.
