Great Spa - If Only Delivery Could be Quicker.
This really is a great little product. It took quite some time to get ours and there is certainly plenty of disbelief out there about reasons but our extended patience has been rewarded and we really would like to post a fairly positive review as clearly some people want to destroy a well established and successful Canadian brand to which we object.
Recommendation: It is worth the wait - SpaBerry is a Canadian company successfully exporting across the globe and established for 16 years.

Never received hot tub
BEWARE OF THESE FRAUDSTERS! SpaBerry had an advertising campaign in June 2023 espousing a fabulous deal "half price" on their top of the line hot tubs. My 78 year old husband fell for their sales pitch hook, line and sinker. Kevin Smith, Senior Vice President of Operations took our deposit of close to $4,000 over the phone on June 29, 2023 and promised us delivery by the end of September 2023.
As the months passed the excuses started - we have production delays, shipping delays etc.
By October I started to smell a rat and contacted Kevin Smith multiple times. He said delivery would be end of November and that turned into February of 2024. That would make it 8 months for a little hot tub.
I requested a refund and the excuses started again.
I told Kevin Smith I was filing a formal complaint and what do you know. Radio Silence! Not a word from him since.
Thank goodness we used a reputable credit card. We have received our money back. SpaBerry did not dispute my claim which demonstrates their criminality when threatened by a large banking company like TD.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SPABERRY, VISIONWERX OR GELLIEBEDS.
The fact you don't like their reason does not make it an excuse or a lie, do you really believe a company that has been established for 16 years and clearly has many customers who post online of their positive experiences certainly undermines your claim of "fraudsters" and "criminality". Personally, I find reviews made in the manner you have made yours are worthless and contribute little except a little bit of letting off some steam.
We also experienced some delays - but we fact checked the reasons given with the Port Authorities and were satisfied - though not pleased that were were being told correctly. Yes, we had to chase but the wait was worth the while and are now enjoying our spaberry :)
Paid cash in full / no product delivered
I paid in full March 2022, it is now 10 months later, and still no product. Continuously told "soon". They have said no refund, but according to my rights, if they do not deliver within 30 days of promised time, I am eligible for my money back.
I have emailed, and called multiple times, and the person they put me through to "K" doesn't seem to be concerned, the delay of this length of time isn't phasing him at all.
I have called to ensure the phone and company are still in service.
Desired outcome: Refund with interest, as they have knowingly borrowed my money for almost a year to fund their company.
Hi, we have the same problem as all of you, Let's set up a group and get a joint lawsuit going against SpaBerry/VisionWerx. This company needs to be put in its place and if we work together we can do this. Maybe we can CBC radio envolved.
If interested please contact us at meermaintenance@gmail.com
D&T
We are also in the same boat, Ken Smith keeps telling us its coming and we can not have a refund. We bought ours 8 months ago and they keep pushing the date. This is wrong!
pretty much identical situations ... only I paid approx in Jun 2022. Every time I reach out their response indicates "two more months"
Absolutely absurd at this point.

Failure to ship after our purchase.
Purchased June\2022..Here it is now Nov\2022...five months no product.
Sent payment in full via pay pal. Printed online reciept . Receipt had a no refund
Policy on the sales reciept.. Not disclosed at time on purchase..
Paid $6100.00 for the spa. E mailed sales manager several times for a time line
to ship and can not definitive date to ship. Very decieving sales tactic.
I have asked for a refund. Spaberry said no refunds was their company policy.
Seems to me that this company can not have it their way and continue to offer sales with no stock on hand and keep my hard earned money with no intentions
Of shipping this product
Desired outcome: Ship my Spa..or refund my money.
Call Pay pal and dispute the charge
Spa berry hot tub
After 2.5 years (used a bout 10 times) motor is going, pump wrecked, the whole hot tub is cracking up! Please contact Ted [protected] what Ted wants is to speak with someone! We were told by a salesman Jeff about the wonders of this magnificent hot tub! We never have been happy with it and have never had proper feedback when we messaged! We have a super expensive flower pot and are quite upset, yes we can try and dig up our records and receipts
Desired outcome: I left a contact number of my friend Ted he bought this hot tub , I know Ted and I both feel that a refund is in order , a hot tub should not split after two and a half years after being used very very little
Thank you for your review. I was interested but now I have changed my mind.
Spaberry hot tub
We enjoyed our spaberry for 3 years. Last year it stopped heating and displayed an LF code.
Spaberry have us contact for an approved repair person in the Okanagan. He took our money but the issue was not resolved. 9 months later, several calls and emails with Spaberry and their contractor, no solution or effort from either. My last email to customer service management, I asked if I should just throw it out and buy another brand. The response, up to you.
Worst service ever!
I've documented all calls and emails. This company truly does not care.
Desired outcome: Any level of service or care.
Spaberry Hot Tub
Unable to get any service in Kelowna.
Spaberry sent a tech that took our money but did not resolve the issue. We still cant use the tub.
This is the last email from your service dept.
Hello Mike,
Yeah you can go any way that you would prefer;
• Contact the original technician, and explain that the problem persists - the 2nd round of service could be less expensive considering the problem was not resolved.
• Use a different technician within your area if you are not comfortable with using the same person
• You could explain a little bit further via email to me, and we can try to help you.
Hope that helps to clarify Mike. Have a great day!
Cheers,
Desired outcome: A working tub.
Hi my water fall on my tub is not working thought it was a water crosion but since I moved it has not worked so can't be that . I filled tub up and had an air lock but jets started working but not the water fall. I empty the tub now and refilled jets work great but no water fall.
SpaBerry Hot tub
We bought & paid (in FULL) for a SpaBerry Hot tub December 2020. Was told it would be 12-14 weeks for delivery. So I reached out @ the 14 week mark. Was told due to Covid, there would be delays. Every time I reached out, for the next few months it was the same response. We were understanding @ the time. We were told in August it would be delivered "soon" & have been getting the run around ever since. They blamed the floods in BC, then Covid again. Never once have I had an actual explanation of what is taking so long. Never once have they reached out to me first. I have requested a refund & was told "no". I spoke with another lady who I saw online who requested & received a refund. Will be hounding them daily until I get one too. Don't give up, stay on them. Absolute worst customer service I've ever had. They should at least refund you until you receive the product. It's been an entire YEAR & we still have nothing to show for it & are out the money.
Do NOT purchase!
Did you ever receive it? Or a refund?
Delivery promises made and then broken
We ordered our SpaBerry in March of 2021 with a promised delivery of October 2021. We were excited even though we knew we would be waiting 6-7 months for delivery we were ok to wait. We paid in full. October rolls around and we hadn't heard from SpaBerry at all in regards to our delivery and when we reached out via email, we were informed that they were...

PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF PURCHASING SPA BERRY
We ordered a hot tub from one of your reps in a mall parking lot last December 2020. We were excited about the deal and paid for it in full up front.
The rep said it would take 4-6 weeks to ship.
3 months later we contacted him asking when our spaberry was going to get delivered. He said another 2-3 weeks max.
After 3 more months of not hearing anything back we contacted him again.. He said 2-3 weeks.
Finally after 9 months we asked when the hot tub would be here and he said for a 3rd time 2-3 weeks.
Never did he contact us to keep us updated, we always had to reach out to him.
3 weeks ago we asked for a refund, as we are coming up on a year, he said Spaberry doesn't do refunds and that it would ship the following week.
It has now been 2 weeks and again haven't heard anything from him.
As a customer, how do you expect me to be compassionate or understanding? No attempt to satisfy us, no attempt to communicate, no refund?
What kind of organization is this?
PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF PURCHASING SPA BERRY. I'm afraid the company will go out of business and I will lose my $8, 000.
Desired outcome: I want a refund as I am not getting a hot tub that a purchased in full
Spaberry
I paid for a SpaBerry (hottub) in full December 2020. I was told in writing that shipping time frames are approximately 14 to 18 weeks, up from the usual 8-12 weeks. This was a full blown lie. They blamed the pandemic however this was ordered mid pandemic and they OVERSOLD. They could not keep up with their overselling and production so people like me were forced to wait. They had not once reached out to me within 9 months, it was always me reaching out to them asking for an update. On 3 separate occasions after asking for updates they have given me an estimated time frame however after no further delivery news I eventually ask what's happening and they (on all 3 occasions) pushed every estimated date back at least two months. After 9 months and paying in full I had recently asked them what specifically my SpaBerry is waiting for and they stated that they "don't have answers". Unbelievable, after 9 months you can't tell me what they are waiting on?! Also it is very important to note and buyer beware, when I purchased in FULL only AFTER receiving the invoice does it say that they will not refund you if you pay in full. This was not disclosed prior to paying! After half a year I asked for a refund and they outright told me that they will not refund. I had my spouse call and a friend and they were still telling people Spaberrys will be ready for delivery in 4 months... how can it be a 4 months when I am still on month 9? If it doesn't make sense, something is wrong. I also saw many posts on facebook where people were complaining about delivery dates and ALL comments were deleted. As of today I went to look at their Facebook page, and after NEVER commenting on their page they blocked me! They also deleted their reviews! BUYER BEWARE! Too many red flags to mention. They are not honest with their customers and production times. They are still selling and not telling people the truth about the lengthy delay. I wish I read the reviews similar to mine prior to buying. They enjoyed my money for 9 months. They only refunded once I was forced to go to the Better Business Bureau!
Desired outcome: Honesty in telling customers their production times
Product not delivered
We purchased our Spaberry in mid-October 2020 with a delivery estimated of eight weeks by the salesman on the phone. We paid in full and there was no mention of a non-refundable purchase at that time, and only when we received our invoice did we have a chance to read this:
"Please take a moment to review your invoice: Only items listed on your invoice will be shipped to you. Shipping dates are an estimation only and can change due to weather, manufacturing delays or other acts of god. Deposits of $100.00 are considered price holds and are 100% refundable. Deposits of greater than $100.00 are considered a payment toward the balance of your invoice and are non-refundable. Paid in full invoices are non-refundable."
We contacted the company on the 20th of December, 2020 and were told they needed another four weeks because of supply issues.
We contacted the company on the 14th of January, 2021 and were told they needed another eight weeks (for the same reasons).
We contacted the company on the 15th of March, 2021 and were told they expected to ship the spa on the week of April 19th, 2021.
We have been waiting SIX months for our hot tub, and no one from the company has contacted us to give us any news or updates.
At the end of this week we shall be seeking consumer protection as this company has failed to deliver any product. Most of my communications have been with Kevin Smith, Senior Vice President of Operations, and while he's been very good promising delivery, the execution of those promises is very much lacking. The company's transparency and communications skills are awful. I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing.
Desired outcome: Refund of purchase
File a complaint with the consumer protection act…Spaberry thinks consumers have no rights but we do! Under the Consumer Protection act failure to deliver is cause to ask for a refund! Spaberry could potential be fined and you can ask for costs!
People don’t know their rights and Spaberry is taking advantage of that!
Did you ever receive a refund or your product?
Hot tub
I have yet to receive my hot tub. Calling and messaging since February when I was supposed to get it. They already got their money from the loan place so really who's to say I'm even gonna get my hot tub. I messaged again when everything started back up was told end May early June. Now it's middle of June and still nothing not even an update I'm so fed up. I do not recommend this company as it is poor communication and you don't get your product when they say you do. Tried to cancel it says you can't cancel. So here I am paying for something I don't even have.
Did you ever get your spa? I'm in the same boat.
Hot tub
We have a product that is being sold at the Medicine Hat Home show every year, and after getting it repaired last November, is now broken again due to their main board blowing, a $800 part. The same part I had to replace under a year ago, and the most expensive part as well. The product is a Spaberry hot tub sold out of Calgary. Purchased it in October of 2012 and have had nothing but issues with it since then.
My wife and I are at our wits end, once again left with an expensive product that is now a lump outside, unusable.
Hi all.
We have a Spa Berry hot tub. Bought in 2015. We were in Calgary at the time for a vacation. One of the malls there. Was ok, just ok, till now. It now looses temperature. We have unplugged, then plugged back in, hoping to reset. We cannot set the temp. Goes from STD, then we think SnS, ---,--. Hard to tell just exactly what it is. Will not go to temp set. Can we get some ideas in what the problem is. I'm thinking it's the heater.
Hi everyone. I purchased my spaberry in September 2021 and received it August of 2022. I work in the manufacturing industry and supply is the same across the board. Long lead times! But it finally arrived. When I picked it up, the box was pretty beat up, but you can't necessarily blame spaberry when the shipping depots are typically not very gentle. I got it home, unpacked it all, and noticed a couple small scratches, but all in all, it looked good. I plugged it in, filled it up, turned it on, and I'm very impressed. Heated up fast and works great. Now, it has been less than a month, but I plan on switching to 220V shortly for the Canadian winters. Guess time will tell how it holds up, but I feel like most things, if you take care of it, you'll have a great product for years!
I would not recommend this spa berry product to anyone! After 2.5 years the pump and motor went , the hot tub is actually cracking! I complained and they replied with “ would you like an apology or a refund?”I said “ a refund is definitely in order “ and I have not heard back from them yet! So we have a nice red potato planting tub , with drainage!😡
Oh where to start. They keep pushing out delivery dates. Then delivery day comes there was a no show and no call. Then they come and box is open and sliding off the skid. I rejected shipment. Then was told they would inspect repack laying down. Then I book to have it delivery on a Thursday and today when I get home it's in my driveway. No signing of papers nothing. Well I look at it, it was never opened never inspect and the put on the skid upside down. I email again and was told that it's my problem to put it right side up. I said I expect a discount on all the bs and they said what sorry not good enough.
Have had mine for four Manitoba winters going to start year five.Has been trouble for me. Maybe I'm jinxing my luck but only issue is right now is my waterfall valve stays on which I have ordered today. Waiting for a call from them on installation process. Has never shut off since I've had except for filling. I had hooked up to 240 when I got it and never drop temperature more than a few degrees when using it. It is in a covered screen gazebo but cover still like new. I admit to heavier set people will bring water close to the edge. All and all talking to friends with hot tubs I feel they all have issues at one point or another. Think you go on sites like this we will always see the worst.
I bought our Spaberry back in the fall of 2016. We moved once since then and took it with us. The spa has never broke down until now, January 2021. It has simply been flawless. We run it all year. We switched it over to 220V in 2017 and never looked back. 220 is really the way to go otherwise it cools off to fast in the winter. Our first problem was today (January 2021) when I found the heater was gone. Luckily it will be nice for the next week to mess with it and get a replacement heater. In fact the only hiccup we have had is when it was shipped. We got the wrong tub. I think the shipper transposed the serial number as the number on the box did not match the tub by 2 digits being transposed. We called them and they shipped the correct one immediately and paid for all shipping costs and this time they dropped at my front door. We lived in the country so that is pretty rare. I am a little disappointed to see everyone here having problems with them but who puts in a review that is positive? Reviews are usually a venting mechanism so I thought I would give my positive experience.
I bought a spaberry sept/ 13 /19. It is now jan/2020. Do not buy a spaberry! Was told delivery 3 to 5 weeks. Tried to cancel with them and they will not return my funds. Put in a dispute with 2 credit cards and now in process of dealing with bbb in calgary. One credit card no problem money refunded and account closed and the other having problems with. If I have to I will follow through with a civil suit against this company. Wish I had seen this site before I used my cards to buy it. Nothing but stress and headaches. Beware people! This company has unscrupulous methods of doing business. Call consumer protection as you do have a right to cancel.
I have exactly this issue. How can I contact Customer protection? do you mean with my credit card?
Same issue. Paid in full December 2020, I have in writing from them delivery Max 14-18 weeks but now they are saying August delivery. THAT'S 8 MONTHS! I also spoke to them on March 1st and they told me the end of April but all the sudden it changed. They didn't apologize and when I asked for a refund they said no refunds. Conveniently for them no one explained this no refund to me at the time of purchase however AFTER I paid they sent me the invoice with this in tiny print.
We paid in October 2020 told January delivery lol lots of back and forth, instigated by us every month, just got word, a few more weeks (bs) that’ll take it to month 10 so not impressed. Everyone we know is sure we are being ripped off.
Have you received your spaberry? I was forced to go through better business bureau to get our mess resolved. Over 9 months, paid in full, and the last communication I had with them I inquired what exactly my specific spaberry was waiting on and Kevin's response was "I don't have an answer". I know they are telling people 4 months for delivery which we know isn't true. They are not honest whatsoever.
We have had our Spa Berry 3yr, it wont stay hot enough to use in the winter for more than 6 or 7 mins.
Today I drained and filled the water. It shocked me. At first I thought it was a nerve in my arm, then I had my husband check it, he got shocked. We drained and filled how we always do. The cover was closed where the motor is. I am terrified of it now. I cant find a way to get a hold of anyone about this! I still have 2years of payments on the over 5k piece of crap. Like the guy above said. Don't buy one!
Do Not buy a Spaberry I did
After one and a half years my shell started cracking and when I contacted them they had me send pictures which I did. After a week I sent them another email asking what was happening. They responded we have never seen this happen before. but since the acrylic shell is only gauranteed for one year I have to fix it myself. They didn't even come look at it as they said they do not deal with any problems after warranty is expired. When we paid for the 5 year extended warranty plan we thought the shell was included but I guess not. As soon as I started complaining they wanted nothing to do with me.
Dan
They contacted me and said I couldn’t buy the sb6 bc of the issues with the shell. Let me know what model it is and I can send you proof they said they have issues with the shell if it’s the sb6.
We are very disappointed and disgruntled before we even get our tub. We paid for the tub in full on November 22nd, 2018 with the understanding that it would be delivered mid January. I contacted them mid January and was sent an email saying it would be shipped by the end of the month. The end of January came and went I left messages wondering when the tub would be shipped. We received no contact from the man in charge until I demanded my money back and then were told that it is against company policy to give refunds. Finally today after repeated calls and messages, we received a phone call back and were told that they cant get the parts required to ship our spa for at least another 2 weeks and then it would not be ready to ship for another 2 weeks after that. Meanwhile they are sitting on our money. They have offered us a $250. credit but how can you ever redeem the credit if you cannot get in contact with them. We were wondering if everyone that bought a spa the Canadian Western Agribition in Regina are being treated this way. By the time we get this spa it may be summer and we have lost 3 months warranty as the warranty states it is from the date of sale. We were told by the salesman that it 100% Canadian and the letter that I received states that they are waiting for the parts to come in from the United states. Isn't that a great way to treat customers.
They have partnered with Lake Placid developments apparently dumping us single customers who have no value to them. We would not recommend this company to anyone after conversation with them today. This company is very unprofessional and what company would not refund something that they cannot deliver in a timely manner and we no longer want.
Bev and Ken Klemenz
Interesting, the Owner's Manual we received via email from SpaBerry contains the warranty and states that the Warranty starts on the original delivery date. We purchased one in January and is being delivered tomorrow. We didn't want it until around now so it is on schedule for us.
I am going through pretty much the same thing. This company needs to be accountable.
