I have filed for my DBA renewal wih this company. The check was cashed but I have never received any renewal certificate. Now, I am being told that it is going to expire. I have been ripped off and I am mad! Apparently, this is a common problem with SoCal DBA . What should I do? please email me with advice to [protected]@earthlink.net.
Thanks

I sent SoCal DBA a check for $85 in October of 2014 and received my approved DBA letter from Orange County office.

Just found out that the $115.00 fee I sent them to renew my dba never happened back in 2015. Just took my money and now I have to do it over myself. Stay away from them.

It seems (via the internet) that I join a growing number of people who were ripped-off by SoCal DBA. I didn't find out until just today when I got a notice from the city.

Issued a check to them for $85 and I received a letter from the county stating that my fictitious business name statement had never been renewed like SoCal DBA had promised to do for the $85. Now I have to pay again!

I just received notice from the county registrar that my FBN is about to expire, and I too sent my check for $85 to SOCAL DBA, which seems to be a FRAUD.
Beware of this scammer!

I may agree...just received notice from Registrar that renewal is due...sent SoCalDBA a check ($85) Sept. '09...Just sent a copy of cancelled check to them and L.A County Registrar...will see what happens next. Five years ago SoCal DBA handled it.
