Stay away
At first, I would like to say that they have some advantages. Their classes are fine but they are not worth your money.
This story with charging money after the free trial expiring happens again and again. I was charged just like other people and I am angry just like them. I tried to contact them and explain that I would prefer to be asked whether I want to pay for classes. Because it looks like they decide for me.
Don't fall for their ads and low prices. It's just a trap to make you pay more and more.
service
Hello,
I just got a bill stating that skillshare charge 96 dollars from my account because my trial had ended and they automatically set up an annual membership. Why this would happen? Why there was not anything announcement to me prior to the day you made a transaction?
I am not happy and actually angry with the way your company work. I totally cannot afford the fees for a year. I trust your company and I did have a great time studying new things with you but what you did not make me satisfied and fair enough to continue! I already cancel my membership . I urgently ask for the refund.
Thank you.
Membership trial
I signed up for their 3 month trial membership. A week before the trial period ended I went to my account on their website and went through the process to cancel my account. I thought that was that, and I was done. A week later I got a notice that my credit card had been charged for the full year membership. I immediately wrote to their support email given to dispute the charge and say that I had cancelled my membership but I have had no response.
Furthermore at the same time my credit card was hacked. I use this particular card for very few things, so I am certain the breach is connected with Skillshare.
Trial
I signed up for their trial which cost me only $1. I paid $1 only to try their website, but about two weeks later they charged me and took $95 from my card without my permission. When I contacted customer service to find out what was going on they said that I was supposed to read their terms and conditions more carefully. They said that after two weeks of using I was automatically signed up for a year subscription. They said they were not able to refund me my money and cancel my account. So they blamed me and said that it was all my fault.
They delayed the classes and didn't return money
I choose two classes from the website www.skillshare.com. But at the beginning of each class, the rep called me and delayed the beginning of the course. It happened three times, and I finally asked for refund and choose another class. But the situation was the same, but at this time no one contacted me before and no refund was provided. So be careful if you use this website or leave comments if you have the similar situation with these scammers.
Dear @skillshare I have contacted you for a refund re: an unauthorized charge. Apparently, you charged my bank account even if I have canceled my subscription and it was not me who used your service. THIS IS JUST SO HORRIFYING (when I need to pay hospital bills).
Check my activity and i never fi ish not a single one video because the app your app is not working. I canceled the subscription and deactivate but i was still charge $99 i need refund also no customer service is getting back to me
They charged me after not giving any notice that they will and now they replied "will get back to you soon" which doesn't provide me any solutions.
I don't know how else to reach out to them except via email - clearly they just send out templates.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to cancel my online classes subscription with immediate effect.
Reason: I cannot use them.
Thanks.
Sincerely
Matt Mendo
