I had ordered 7 dresses from San Judes' bridal for my wedding. On the reciept she said that she was ordering a designer dress for me. When the dresses arrived, they were clearly fakes and poorly hand made by someone else with the cheapest quality material. We paid the designer price. This company was previously called Lucia Bridal that has had fraudulent activity before. DO NOT BUY DRESSES HERE! by the time the dresses arrived, it was too late to fix the problem.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
San Jude's Bridal really saved my wedding! They got me the dress of my dreams and had it altered on really short notice. I had bought a dress from another place (on the internet) and what arrived was nothing like the picture on the web. With only a month to go to my wedding I thought I was screwed, Thank God I decided to go into San Jude's Bridal! The selection is incredible! I found my dream dress and they had it altered and fitting me perfectly in a matter of days. Thank you San Jude's Bridal for saving my day!
My bridesmaids and maid of honor went to San Jude's in February of 2011 and picked out their dresses for my wedding which was on July 09, 2011. Rose the owner told us along with my fiaunce and the maid of honors husband and bridesmaide that she needed a few months notice because the dresses where being made than the girls would have to come in to be sized for the dresses. when the girls went in to be sized, Rose pinned the dresses. Two of the bridesmaides went in for a fitting a couple days before my wedding. I than asked Rose to take a layer from underneith the bridesmaids dresses and she did not. I than asked her to make removable straps for them and put clips on the front and back so they can either be worn as halter style, straplessor with straps. The one dress she sewed the straps right to the dress, she used different color threads throughout the dresses, the one bridesmaids dress was not even hemmed up, the bust was not taken in like it was suppose to and top it all off when one of the bridesmaids went to put on the dress the day of my wedding the side was opened on it and the hemming job on the other dress was all cricket and the thread was all matted and she used two different color threads. My maid of honors dress, the sash on the front was was stitched to the dress. It was also stitched in different color threads. The hem on it was all un even.. I was so upset the day of my wedding I was crying and my maid of honor and bridesmaides were very upset to because we trusted she was gonna do a good job on them and they look like ###.They paid alot of money for the dresses that turned out like crap.I wanted to call off my wedding thats how upset I was. Thank god my sister which was one of the bridesmaides manage to pin the dresses so I could have my wedding. When I called her when I got back from my honeymoon and told her about the dresses she thought it was funny, she was laughing.I hope everyone that has gone to herin the past are gonna do something about her buisnesss because I am gonna start a lawsuit and have her buisness shut down. I am one person that will not stop and till I do. I don't care how long it takes but she is not getting away with this one.. I do have pictures of the dresses before they were put on . So all the brides to be, be very carefull because she will burn you large. This is not a good way to conduct business and yes I have already contacted the BBB. They are just waiting for the letters from my 3 bridesmaid and the maid of honor and all 20 witness that seen the dresses before they were put on. So please check her out before you buy or she will destroy your wedding to.

Stay away from this company. If you want the wedding dress/bridesmaids dress of your dreams or just the ones that are advertises this place is not for you. My dresses are over a month late and when I call or go in I'm just getting the run around. Rose tells you that she is ordering from the manufacturer but she is not believe me. I will never do business with her again or recommend this place to anyone. And I will be sure to let people know on every form of social media what a fraud this business is.
I totally agree . She does not know how to sew, a five year old can do better than that, actually someone blind probably could. We all need to get together to have her shut down as she destroyed my bridesmaides dresses and maid of honors. I was in tears on my wedding day because of her and I am not done with her . I am gonna start a lawsuit against her and trust me I will win as we do have pics of the dresses before they were put on the day of my wedding and 20 witnesses

Call or write the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU of Canada. I just found out that they are not aware of some of these complaints and WE NEED TO MAKE THEM AWARE! This is really annoying that these people are STILL doing this, even make up fictional customers with fake testimonials, and our friends don't know unless we tell them! THEY HAVE NO CONSCIENCE ABOUT DECEIVING AND RIPPING PEOPLE OFF AND SHOULD GET OUT OF THIS NEIGHBOURHOOD!
THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU should be doing it's job and making the customer aware! COMPLAIN TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!
I googled Sherwood Bridal ... their previous name, and also Bridal Wardrobe, another previous name ... OMG ... never seen anything like it ... taking people's desposits and not delivering (probably the suppliers wouldn't give them merchandise because THEY know they are bad! but Rose would take your money anyway!) ... copying designers dresses (isn't that illegal?) ... watch for Rose shopping at Fabricland ... trying to copy something else!
And her sons ... charged with tax evasion ... how bad can it get before they are put out of business?!
Hopefully enough complaints will get through to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU so they can make the public aware.

Please learn to do business honestly and you won't need to keep changing your business name every year. . .we all know it only costs $60.00 to register a company name in Canada without any strings from your past following you around. However some of us have very good memories.

I am the mother of the bride
October 2010 they are still at it scamming young people and families out of their money. These people took a perfect dress, charged $ 300.00 to alter one inch and absolutely destroyed it. I sat at my dining room table 30 hours before my daughter's wedding and with hands shaking and fixed the botched alteration job.
We pointed out what needed to be fixed Rose was immediately defensive it turned into an altercation during which my daughter texted my husband he said take the dress and get out of there if they could have sewn they would have done it on the first shot not the fourth (best advice he has ever).
These people falsely represent themselves as seamstresses. I wish we had done more research but they were in our area and we just took the recomendations we read on the site. They do make them up. Rose appears to have a Jekyll and Hyde personality you see the bad side once you have paid in full. It is simply put theft.
San Jude Bridal was Called Sherwood Bridal (google them), then changed to Lucia, now San Jude. I had so many friends who were scammed by them, and their alterations are atrocious! There were investigated by Sean Oshea on TV ... there are many stories about their bad business pratice.The two brothers who also owned it were convicted of tax evasion a few years ago ... google it. They are bad news big time and should be put out of business. They even put fake testimonials on their website. I feel sorry for girls going in there who do not know who they are! Shameful!
OMG is this Sherwood Bridal trying to scam people under a DIFFERENT name and location? Unbelievable! How do they keep getting away with this? They can try a new name, location but the scamming catches up with them no matter where they go. Short dumpy Rose should go back home and scam her own people. What a way to live your life. tsk tsk!
What those bridesmaid said is correct the lady that works there as seamstress name Rose is the owner mother/Inlaw, so she's the one that made the local dress Surangi which she always did & lied to customer saying its a local company in down town company i do know many peoples who has been tricked by them, from their previous business, Sherwood Bridal & Bridalwardrobe you can still see complain from the complain bureau website & check google as well.

These comments appear to be from three individuals (who happen to be sisters and related to the groom) that were part of the same wedding party as bridesmaids. The bride who ordered the dresses was very happy with the product. In fact she even brought her wedding gown for us to alter AFTER the bridesmaids dresses had arrived (which she would never have done had she been unhappy with the dresses). However it is worth noting that these three individuals gave the bride an extremely hard time with every aspect of her wedding, to the point where the bride had to even ask her older sister to communicate with them, as the bride informed us that she was always being brought to tears by these three bridesmaids. It would seem that these same individuals are now (several months after the wedding) trying to get their money back for a product they already used. All our clients come in for several fittings and no one would ever take a dress from our store unless they were satisfied. Clients only place a deposit prior to the dress arriving and are only required to pay the balance AFTER inspecting the dresses. It is unbelievable that anyone in their right mind would (1) have several fittings in a dress, (2) Pay the balance for their dress and (3) take delivery of a dress that they were not satisfied with. This post wedding ‘sour-grapes’ seem indicative of people who are trying to get free stuff by slandering hard working people. All the allegations made by the individuals who posted comments in this forum are completely false. We reserve the right to take legal action against any individual or group that attempts to slander our name. We were part of a bridal party where 7 dresses were also ordered and the exact same thing happened...When we paid for our deposit on the dresses, the receipt said Bridal Wardrobe Holdings. At the time the bridal store was called Lucia Bridal, they were in the midst of changing the name over to San Jude's Bridal. DO NOT BUY DRESSES HERE. They tell you they are ordering the real ones from the manufacturer, then make fake ones, making you think they are the real ones and you pay the full price for them.
After inspecting our dresses we noticed that they had sewn a label of their own which says Surangi.
DO NOT BUY DRESSES FROM THIS COMPANY! TELL EVERYONE IF THEY ARE EVER INTERESTED.
