We ordered a reef lighting kit for $800, rapidled.com shipped out defective led chips, wrong light hangers and we were also short on wiring. They claim the defective parts were damaged by us during install and refuse to refund our money. On top of losing out on $800 it also cost us $50 to ship the parts back to rapidled.com. Mike Chang is the salesman we have been dealing with and right from our very first email he has blamed us for his faulty equipment. Please do not waste your hard earned cash with this company. If you happen to run into an issue he will place blame on you. Look elsewhere for your reef lighting needs, this guy will not back what he is selling you.

Our first clue this company is a scam should have been that there isn't a number to contact this guy listed on rapidled.com.
Thanks Mike Chang, we hope you have a great Christmas with the $800 you have scammed from us!
FYI - we are out of our money and lights and just basically gave this company our money for nothing.

    THIS IS WHAT MIKE FROM RAPID LED HAD TO SAY ABOUT GIVING US OUR REFUND!
    At this point arguing is pointless, you see it one way and I see it another and we're never going to see eye to eye on it no matter what. Let's remove the stress and move on. I'm asking you for $200-250, and I offered to pay your $50 shipping so what I'm really asking for is $150-200. I don't think you're asking for anything too far away from that so that's fine, cancel the dispute, agree not to go on forums telling the world what you think (right or wrong), and I'll refund $700. Let me make it clear however that I'm agreeing to this refund not because I'm afraid of what you'll say or any negative press that you may cause, but at this point I think we both just want to move on and I don't want to have to go on all the forums telling my side of the story after already agreeing to the refund. If you feel like you need to tell the world your experience then that's fine, but in that case we'll just let Pay-pal handle the dispute. Let me know what you'd like to do.

    We only ended up receiving $700 back, basically blackmailed into not complaining about our experience, purchase from Rapid Led at your own risk. We decided to order because people weren't complaining, but maybe they were blackmailed as well. We decided the world should know how this guy operates.
