I was contacted by an agent from PJP Health Agency and I signed up for this plan. The agent explained that I was buying a health insurance policy. The agent refused to send me any paperwork before I signed up for the plan. When I received the paperwork in the mail it showed that I purchased a discount plan. The plan was nothing like what the agent said over the phone. I have calling the agent to cancel my policy and he will not call me back.

PJP Health Agency has an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau!

Cut and paste the following web address into your web browser to see the Better Business Bureau's Business Review/Reliability Report for PJP Health Agency:

http://www.bbb.org/new-york-city/business-reviews/insurance-health/pjp-health-agency-in-garden-city-ny-123192/

If you have been the victim of PJP Health Agency, in addition to filing a report with the Better Business Bureau, I would also file complaints with the New York State Insurance Department and the New York State Attorney General's Office.

I had a similar experience but did not bite - there was a significant difference between premiums for full health coverage and what was described and quoted. I immediately became suspicious when the agent did not share any written information about the health benefits, or about the group organization in which one had to enroll to get the "insurance." After all, if one were selling membership in an organization, wouldn't one send information to close the deal? Repeated attempts to get this information were unsuccessful, and I decided to move forward with a traditional indemnity plan. When I finally DID receive some information about the "plan" it was disclaimed with the advice "this is not insurance...and is not intended to replace insurance." Well, that was enough for me to decide that this was NOT what I was looking for and that my suspicions were justified. I disengaged from contact without spending a dime and without divulging any personal or sensitive information. I recommend the same to others.

I could write a 20 page report about what ripoffs PJP Health Agency is. The agent who sold me my fraudulent policy told me whatever lie was needed to get me to sign up so she can get paid. And once I signed up I could never get her on the phone to cancel. Of course that is completely opposite of what she told me when she said "if you arent happy with the policy you can cancel at anytime." Just do yourself a favor and run when this company tries to get you. They find a way around everything to make sure they never have to pay you. They have so much small print and are professionals at finding something that makes them not have to pay you. RUN!

After searching online for health insurance, I was referred to a company called "PJP Health Agency" of Melville, New York which promised me affordable health insurance coverage. Their coverage plan sounded good, so I gave them my checking account number, and they quickly debited my account.

However, I was never issued legitimate health insurance.

In fact, I have received nothing that I was promised! After doing some research on this company, I have discovered that the health insurance which they allegedly offer through their affiliate (American Benefits Association of Blackwood, New Jersey), is not health insurance at all, but a medical and prescription discount plan.

I have been scammed by "PJP Health Agency", and the money that was debited from my checking account was done under false pretenses! I now feel like the biggest schmuck on two feet!

You should have done your homework and read all of the complaints against PJP Health Agency on the Internet before you gave these fraudsters your personal information. You should now contact your bank and fill out an ACH Form in order to prevent PJP Health Agency from making future debits from your checking account. You should also file a complaint with the New York State Insurance Department. You can call Judy Doyle of the NYS Insurance Department at [protected]. Ms. Doyle is currently investigating the multitude of complaints that have already been filed against PJP Health Agency. Good luck!
