Can you believe this website just shut down! just took all the members money & didn't even have the decentity to say were shutting down, here's your money back or anything. They had been declining in memberships for years, due to the outrageous monthly fees. Then after back page shut down, they had the nerve to pretend to be a "legit" masseur site. I mean, half of the guys were from Back page & then they made everyone look like massage therapists, so they could keep running. I mean most of the guys on there, didn't even know how to give a "legit" massage!

I wish more masseurs knew about normal gay massage platforms like HotMasseur.com, not on the first page but more effective than rentmasseur and also no connections with any government.

After 7 years of business on massagem4m one day I open my ad and NOTHING. How can you jjst take the money and disappear ? has anyone got info on hotmasseur.com ? So far I only got few new clients. I thought it maybe emmedia but they call themselves Hmedia Ads and in Czech Republic, doesn't make sense for them to shut down the old website and create from scratch.. Probably another company

I used M4M for years with no issues. I did well! About 3 years before they were forced to shut down due to the crack down in Washington many sites like that were just gone. I was glad I did not lose any $$$.

I have been a M4M masseur on and off for 31 years. When I started in this business in 1987, all a guy needed was a little line ad in the back pages of free weeklies, you didn't even have to have a photo, and your phone would start ringing and you'd come home to messages on your answering machine from loads of men looking for relaxation and release from a man--in the nude. What's happening now in 2018 (it started in 2015 with the shutdown of rentboy) is absolutely insanity, I wake up wondering what Century I'm living in, maybe we're in the dark ages again. One thing is for sure: the government will never stop m4m massage, we might be moving backwards to print media again, that's my prediction...or you'll see gay masseurs walking the streets holding signs. or sitting in hotel lobbies with a massage table ready to go.

This is indeed censorship, and something I've been concerned about ever since this country has made a definite shift to the right and M4M and Masseurfinder got paranoid about photos and content. Just found out through this site (thanks to whoever set this up), about M4M and checked my previous credit card statements and I have not been charged since June. Anyone know when the site actually shut down? Pisses me off that M4M continued taking money from people, didn't have the decency to alert anyone, and that this country now has the audacity to oversee the morality between two grown men. I too say "Hell no!"

When all else fails, sue their [censored]ing, worthless [censored]! what have you got to lose? this so-called massage-finder website is just one more example of the fraudulence that is rampant in the u.s.. when are we, as a society & country, going to learn to say "no", or "hell no" to the [censored] that pervades the internet? apparently, people are too stupid and/or lazy to be more vigilant. it's time to get the head out of the [censored], and begin to pay more attention, always & forever!

Someone mentioned earlier that you need only to report your credit card lost or stolen and you get a new credit card number and your problem is solved. I however did not have that experience with my American Express. American Express even after telling them not to gives people that you have recurring billing with your new credit card number!

ATTENTION GAY MASSEURS: I have been using rentmasseur.com as my only means of attracting clients. I cancelled masseurfinder due to their extreme paranoia and being total pussies and wimps. Set up an account with rentmasseur, they are based in Europe. Then write to them and ask them to topple masseurfinder on Google!

Masseurfinder deleted almost 100 of my testimonials, leaving me with only 8 ! They have made themselves impossible to contact directly and I know a great number of masseurs who are leaving the site. I used to be one of the top guys in the 'ratings' search in my area and once they removed the reviews, they killed my business. Luckily, i have built up a great following over the years i've been advertising with them. And while their motivation seems to be to keep the site legit (which I appreciate) they are going overboard.

I think it has to do with the new regulations which essentially make sites like AIRbnb and Craigslist responsible for what transpires between users - which is ridiculous. It seems to be why Craigslist shut down their personals.

You are referring to the new anti Human Trafficking law. On the surface it is supposed to curtail that, but in reality it's purpose is much more sinister. The law makes website owners criminally liable for any wrongdoing that a person visiting the site may do. Up to 25 years in prison as I understand it. This is an attack, a direct attack on Free Speech. They know they can't take Free Speech away so what they have decided to do instead is to hold those that provide a free speech environment on the internet liable. So moving forward this can be a very slippery slope. If the government decides that they don't like a website because people are talking about this that and the other they just simply need to arrest the owner of that website, the site gets shut down, problem solved for the government. We should be really worried with the direction this country is going.

Thank you, Robb. You're making a very good point, I haven't seen it from this side. I was upset about how over the last 12-18 monthsMassageM4M changed their policies about pictures and texts over and over towards a site for legit therapeutical massages - nontheless gay - which I thought was a slap in our faces who already provided a good therapeutical massage. Whatever might have caused the total shutdown of this site - which btw always worked well for me - and the changes in other US based sites, your words address a serious problem and you're right, we shoud be really worried on many levels indeed!

Unfortunately, Rent masseur is just as paranoid. They request AFTER you sign up and put in your credit card and it gets approved, only after that do they ask you to scan not only your ID, you have to also scan your CREDIT CARD and write them a letter saying you approve it. So now they have all your info for whatever reason that can get stolen and have identity theft. Everyone should just be legit, have massage therapist license numbers with the government and end this paranoia. Oh well, hopefully some new sites are created with a bit more friendly owners.

I have a feeling that they took the $ and ran, due to a dispute between the web developer and the owner. Who knows for sure, but if Masseurfinder is still running, and has 100's of non licensed therapists listed, it was most likely not the action of State Board or any local government.

That being said, it is crazy to me that any kid can access porn on their phone/pc, but 2 adult men can't have a mutual agreement around a sensual massage! It's a [censored]ed up hypocritical world!

Did they shut down or get shut down. There is a paranoia right now with the government going after sites like this, even though the site was cleaned up to be more professionally oriented. Not that I care what others do, but I do therapeutic bodywork and the site was good for getting clients. It's strange that they just disappeared so suddenly and thoroughly. Colin www.psbodywork.com

I'm in the credit card processing industry. PLEASE contact your CC or bank and dispute and or charge back the fees. V/MC/DS/AX grade the merchants and resellers [EMMedia, Inc.] . It will also put the owners on a "no processing" list, that all processors go by. PLEASE DO THIS.
Reoccurring billing for more than a month is considered high risk in the processing industry. A company that I work with, will NOT do reoccurring billing for longer than one month at at time.

As a part time massage guys, i stopped using M4M a few years ago because of their cleansing of men's massage. THE SAME IS HAPPENING WITH MASSEURFINDER. Buyers beware. only do month to month on any of these sites.

I feel safe with RentMasseur / RentMen because they are Euro owned. Just my Tantra thoughts.

Thank you so much for the info... . As for Masseurfinder. It seems the owner is rather paranoid and working hard to make the site seem as legitimate as possible and not have the government come in and shut them down like it did with RentBoy.com

Your right & the thing they should be paranoid about are the ads, that list massages for $150-$250 an hour. Now what "legit" massage therapists charges that much for a massage? You can go to Spa Envy and a massage for $70-$80. When you charging that much, you providing a little "extra" if you know what i mean.

$120-150 is standard in NYC for an hour's massage, so the fee thing isn't such a big deal, IMHO. But Masseurfinder is doing a lot of good stuff by cleaning up its act BUT it is also really screwing things up: for instance, they removed 3/4 of my massage testimonials! I had over 100 testimonials and now I have 8. I can't get in touch with them and I can't get my reviews back. My clients are pissed and so am I. Now Massagem4m has shut down - where else to go? Rentmen and Rentmasseur are sexually oriented so I'm leery of advertising there.

I charge $150 an hour for legit massage. $70-80 at spa envy is the ridiculous price. And those masseurs don't get paid nearly that much per hour. So your logic is pretty flawed.

Well, that fee could be a big deal depending on where you are. A big world outside of NYC. 100 reviews are impressive but perhaps masseurfinder eliminated many of them because of overkill. A hundred reviews basically saying the same thing when all you really need is a handful of good ones. However, i do agree with you on Rentmasseur. It's basically an escort site that's very cheap to advertise on.

Well I am one of the people that actually does real massage. I just learned of the closing from a new client of mine. Well I feel sad that they have chosen to go this route. It is a heavy Karma for them to deal with mentally. I had met the owner and his Boy Friend and a couple of the staff over the years. I guess one can never tell how things will go. I will add them to my forgiveness meditations and work on moving forward. If you would like to write to their PO Box... it might lead to getting refunds from them or prompting them to actually do the write thing. Or it might not. In either case it is one action you can take. MassageM4M 9903 Santa Monica Blvd., #978, Beverly Hills, CA 90212

PS... the owner is Ernie Barojas. I kind of wonder if this is a case of drug abuse. I know of several people who have gone totally off the deep end due to drugs. One has to wonder what prompted this as on average they made $148, 000 a year.

Unprofessional Company. Found out more about this company after they slowly tried to shut everything down without warning everyone. Their address is only a PO box. I called their lawyers and they don't represent them.

I was also surprised when I pulled up the website and my ad was gone. I can't believe they didn't tell anyone of us what was happening. I guarantee Andrew Moore had nothing to do with it though. He has always been nothing but kind and helpful with me. I would look at the owners for blame, not the people who worked for them. I'm sure they were [censored]ed as bad as we were. I'm just glad I didn't pay for a full year membership like some of my friends and the other dudes know this site.

It really sucks. My advise for everyone who’s being charged is to dispute it with your bank. They’ll do their investigation and credit back your account. Young massage Therapist in LA here. I’m going to miss this website. Only place I could find decent respectful clients.

Report your card lost. They will shut down the card number that the site had, so M4M will no longer have a valid credit card number to bill to. You will get a replacement card with a new number that M4M will not be able to bill to.

Massagem4m.com closed, telephone numbers disconnected, email accounts closed, they I have a prepaid 12 month contract with them and i got only 6 months of service they are no where to be reached for a refund! Emails get bounced back.
Hopefully, there will be a class action lawsuit on this company Aka EMMEDIA.
