I was hired by Matthew D. Macon to redesign his company's website and logo. The major portion of this entire process was to import his 770+ products from his old and inferior website to a new streamlined platform. Mr. Macon, after delivery, then says "My dad won't let me do this."
Granted - in the beginning - he told me he was a partner in the business and he was hiring me directly. He said his daddy doesn't want to upset the $10 an hour help, so we're not switching.
I come back - say hey, free training. Whatever you guys need, lets just deliver this site and get paid, ok? He says "Man, great idea. I'll tell my dad."
Weeks pass.
Now his new come back is "Oh, um, the logo isn't exactly what we want."
I say - no problem! We can change the design. Whatever you need to make you happy I can do. I would just really like to get paid for what you hired me on.
He says "My dad is really pissing me off. He told me to hire someone, now he is saying he won't pay you. To salvage our relationship I will just pay you out of another company of mine. I hired you, I will pay you. It will suck, but I did ask you to complete the work and you did."
To which I replied "That means a lot, I'm glad to see you do business this way."
Weeks pass.
Reached out - "Hey, what's up man? Still waiting on that check."
He says "I didn't hire you to build a website! I only hired you to do a mockup."
*crickets* Are you serious?
Then he says "What will you settle for?" What do you mean what will I settle for? It's 3 months old, I want the money that is promised. This isn't a negotiation, it is simple - you promised me money for work I did. I did the work. Give me my money. We have done work for him in the past - now he is asking me to settle?
To Mr. Macon: I am going to remove this post upon completion of payment of your $750.00 sent by cashier's check. I will continue making posts on various complaint boards until that check is sent. Everything I have said here is true. To get me to remove it, make it untrue - send me the money you owe.
Macon Gunstocks has all the reasons in the world to be pissed since Ryan Watts screwed him over by pushing his business under with his spam marketing. Ryan know so little about SEO that he actually got Macon burned in the Penguin and Panda updates. Ryan is teh one who owes the apology here.
I find it funny that a spamming little POS like Ryan Watts would have the audacity to complain about the ethics of anyone else on earth. The man probably didn't want to pay for the craptastic/fake seo that Ryan spams the world with. There is a reason Ryan has had multiple accounts and IP's banned from the internet... he violate every rule and breaks many laws doing so. (violating TOS for personal gain is fraud, so yeah, jsut reporting the truth [censored]).
Here are just some of the many complaints he and Christina have garnered with their many fake businesses. By the way, what honest business has to rebrand every few months because of so many complaints of poor business practices. He's scammed people as "RAWNuke", "The Raw Data", apparently as "RAW Air" and now he is spamming craigslist with tons of ads for "Small Fry SEO".
He even claims to have a non-profit which we have been good enough to inform the IRS of the likelihood of another form of scam taking place there. Considering it involves Ryan Watts, it's a likelihood.

Macon Gunstocks only has two employees and a total worth around $100K which is "peanuts" in the business world. My home is worth far much more, then that business ~LOL~
Macon Gunstocks is an unethical business, which is located in Warsaw, MO. They lie to their customers when the simple truth would fit better. I think they should have their FFL taken from them. NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS!
